Nope!

mynameiscalypso · 06/04/2023 18:57

It's not half term. It's the Easter holidays.

PiranhaTank · 06/04/2023 18:58

Is it is the Easter vac? Spring term’s over, summer term starts after Easter.

Marmite27 · 06/04/2023 18:58

It is not half term. It is the Easter holidays. It is between the end of one term and the beginning of next one.

Half terms are a break in the middle of each term.

mamaduckbone · 06/04/2023 18:59

Nope! We usually do at least for a few days but not this time. I'm gardening, seeing friends and chilling (teacher, so off for 2 weeks) and the teenagers are pretty much doing their own thing. Dh has had a couple of days off and does again next week so we'll probably do a day trip somewhere.

Fixesplease · 06/04/2023 19:00

Nope, we are stopping at home woth the odd day trip chucked in.
We are however away next month to France. Very excited!

PrettyMaybug · 06/04/2023 19:00

Just for Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday next week. To the Lake District.

And it's not 'half term.' Half term was February. In the middle of the Spring term. THIS holiday is the Easter Holidays.

PrettyMaybug · 06/04/2023 19:01

Cross post. I see some others pointing out it's not half term too!!! Why do people say this? Why do they call Easter half term? Confused

FrownedUpon · 06/04/2023 19:02

Do you mean the Easter holidays? Yes, we’re in Cornwall & having a lovely time.

mamaduckbone · 06/04/2023 19:02

And yes, it's not half term. October, February, May are half term breaks.

Roxie99 · 06/04/2023 19:02

We were supposed to but needed to save the money! So no we are in rainy England...although going to CP next month....

SweetSakura · 06/04/2023 19:02

I don't understand what Easter half term is? .

We are at home this Easter holidays if that's what you mean. Usually we would go away but DSD has GCSEs this year so we have kept it low key with a few day trips instead

BluebellBlueballs · 06/04/2023 19:02

Had a long weekend last weekend in my inlawx holiday home ( they weren't there). It was lovely and apart from fuel, food and a few pints at the local, free!

Dyslexicwonder · 06/04/2023 19:02

Sadly not Dd is doing her GCSEs in 6 weeks so we are staying home depressingly

bustoterminal · 06/04/2023 19:03

Avoid like the plague. Booked a long weekend next weekend and going off in our caravan to a farm in Cumbria.

imnotthatkindofmum · 06/04/2023 19:03

Went to stay at in-laws for 2 nights. Been swimming threw stones in the sea. That's it! Nice charge of scenery. Can't afford any big holidays this year, booked 4 nights away in summer with our caravan.

Purpleskies46 · 06/04/2023 19:04

Yes, Easter holidays is what I meant.

Inthebathagain · 06/04/2023 19:05

Going to stay with my partner for a few days. He's just finished work and is going back a week on Monday.

Change is as good as a rest.

WunWun · 06/04/2023 19:05

Of course not. Not everyone can afford that.

theblackradiator · 06/04/2023 19:06

oh ffs does it matter about the half term easter holidays thing! op is simply asking if people are going away for the break. We are not this year. Usually always have a few days away over the Easter break but not this year as dp couldn't get the time off work. why are you asking op?

coffeecookie · 06/04/2023 19:07

Yes am there now! It's been a great week so far.

In Wales.

DappledThings · 06/04/2023 19:07

Enjoying that most people are answering more to point out it isn't half-term than answering the question. The pedantry is both pleasing and entirely appropriate!

MyFaceIsAnAONB · 06/04/2023 19:08

We are currently but only because free accom!

RJ57 · 06/04/2023 19:08

Nope. Cant afford anything and even if I could, I'm knackered.

I'm going to play some online and board games (I'm never going to grow up no matter what the mirror tells me) and watch some films, read some books and just try and forget about work for a few.
