If you could go back to your childhood, what's one thing that you would bring back today?

For me, it would be the TV show 'The Crystal Maze'. I was obsessed with the show. I know they tried to bring it back a few years ago but it wasn't the same. I adored Richard O'Brien and the whole set up of them going from zone to zone trying to win a crystal. They'll never be another game show like it.

Chopper bike.

My teddy bear. He was a present from my Grandma before she died. He was my one comfort in an abusive home. Then they took him away and I never saw him again.

My dad! But if not that then the endless freedom. Playing out until it got dark, the long long summer holidays. Oh and sunny delight!

On a frivolous basis probably the krypton factor. I really loved that show.

sweetcomicvalentine · 26/03/2023 02:23

Agree re lost relatives .

Also though my primary school, one building burnt to the ground 20 years ago and the annexe was demolished shortly after (when they built a brand new school the annexe was surplus to requirements, despite being 100 y/o). I’d so love to see them again. Saw photos of inside the one that burnt down a few months ago for the first time and it was bizarre to see memories come to life. Still have a box of newspaper clippings and a charred piece of my schoolwork that ended up in my grandparents’ garden (about 600 metres from the school.)

My lovely mother who adopted me ,both my Grans and my Auntie Ann, a family friend who was like a sort of Auntie, Karen to me, kaz to others ,
Miss them 😢 x
Wish they were all still around in their own unique personble ways.....

On a much brighter note, I wish they have all favourite 70s TV shows back on a few selective 80s era maybe,?

I can't think of them at moment,

Controversial TV series Penny's from Heaven

Singing Detective TV series.

Dennis Porter TV series Dramma,

I think that's names of them,

I like to see re runs of Black and White ST Trinans school drama film

And other good quality Black and white films and good retro /vintage others films too

Loads of children playing in the park opposite our home.

Now it's just dog walkers. I don't know why but there's definitely a change.

Cherubiminal · 26/03/2023 10:05

My old home...I moved to another part of the country to escape an abusive relationship and even though I live in a pretty village I really miss the place I grew up in, however, I know I need to make this work so hopefully in time I'll move on.

Powerful trade unions.
Not a popular opinion I know, but I'm fed up of the workforce being shat on from a height.

I would never go back to my childhood.

Me too.

Changing something, yes. Anything else, no. I have sentimental objects from my childhood, so there's no other reason to go back.
