If you could go back to your childhood, what's one thing that you would bring back today?

For me, it would be the TV show 'The Crystal Maze'. I was obsessed with the show. I know they tried to bring it back a few years ago but it wasn't the same. I adored Richard O'Brien and the whole set up of them going from zone to zone trying to win a crystal. They'll never be another game show like it.

My parents.
But on a more trivial note, Callard and Bowser nougat.

I remember my brother having work experience in the Callard and Bowser factory and him coming home with a massive bag of their toffees, they were delicious 😋

I'd love my childhood teddy bear, he was white with brown ears and my grandmother made him big pink bloomers to wear. I had him up until my 20s (I used to hide my fags in his bloomers as a teen 🤣) I have no idea where he disappeared to, my dd would have loved him.

People (neighbours, sometimes relatives) popping in for a chat. There seemed to be time for endless gossip, laughs and anecdotes. It put the world to rights, and kept things in perspective. I miss that.

That is sad. My childhood teddy was stolen, I wish I still had him.

Just found this on the internet https://www.partridges.co.uk/nougat-with-cherries.html. They say it’s the same recipe as Callard and Bowser. Very expensive though.

The absolute and joy and innocence of childhood. Not worrying about money, bills, climate change, if I’m a good enough parent. Just always excited for the next thing and happy.

The range of wildlife that you used to see that is now gone e.g. hedgehogs, water voles, hares, spotted flycatchers...I could go on.....
