Well anything house work could be deemed worthy of a place in this category, but I really hate putting the washing away🙄🙄🙄🙄 it makes me so irrationality angry!

Ironing.

TeenLifeMum · 25/03/2023 22:25

I agree. To solve this I began working full time and have dh that task as we shared roles.

TeenLifeMum · 25/03/2023 22:25

grave not have

timeforchampagne · 25/03/2023 22:25

Pairing socks

SliceOfCakeCupOfTea · 25/03/2023 22:25

Folding and putting washing away.

Also cleaning the washing machine...it's literally your job mate!

SailorSueSailorStan · 25/03/2023 22:26

Ironing dd school blouses because I know I need to iron 5 and it's every bloody week.

bunnyhophappy · 25/03/2023 22:27

Pairing socks! I also want to burn the sodding things. I think I have 3 bags for life filled with odd socks- they never reunite in my house. Ever!

Clearing the shoes door also causes me anger issues 🤣

Definitely putting the washing away. That is a DH task. I don't mind sorting dirty washing, putting it in the washing machine, hanging wet washing or putting in the dryer, folding clean washing. I will never put it away though.

Also ironing but I refuse as the steam iron steams my glasses and if I take my glasses off I can't see what I'm doing so thats another DH task.

bunnyhophappy · 25/03/2023 22:28

Sorry cleaning the shower door!

bubbles2023 · 25/03/2023 22:30

I don't iron anything as it doesn't need it when it comes out of tumble drier.
I have an aversion for unstacking the dishwasher though.

Watto1 · 25/03/2023 22:30

I quite like laundry! My big hate is pulling dd’s long hair out of the plug hole Envy

Ylvamoon · 25/03/2023 22:31

The washing is DH job....

But I hate doing the oven! Mine is pyrolytic but the grey little specs of "dust" are just annoying! It's ment to be SELF- cleaning!!!

Yayyayitsaholiholiday · 25/03/2023 22:31

I don’t iron, I have a robot hoover, a cleaner fortnightly……. Don’t do the things you hate….. I pair my own socks, but not my DH’s……..

Pairing socks

DH has stats on time wastes pairing socks that he brings up every time I do it.

I'd repeat them here but I find it so boring I can't remember Grin

SgtCawood · 25/03/2023 22:33

I have told DH that if I ever leave him, it will be over leaving the kids’ laundry for me to put away. I don’t like putting my own away, sod everyone else’s.

DappledThings · 25/03/2023 22:34

I quite like anything related to laundry. I hate everything food related. We split our jobs that way. I'm happy to do all the washing, ironing, putting away in return for never food shopping or planning a meal and only doing about 5% of the cooking.

But right now there's a lasagna that needs to go into smaller tupperware and into the freezer and I've been putting it off for 2 hours. That's such an irritating task.

WandaWonder · 25/03/2023 22:35

Ironing and bog cleaning

Baldrickhasaplan · 25/03/2023 22:35

We used to pay our child 5p per paired socks from the odd sock pile. Cost about £2 per month, kept them busy, improved various skills and we had paired socks!

Fathobbit · 25/03/2023 22:37

Cleaning the dishwasher filter 🤮

LeTempsPerdu · 25/03/2023 22:38

Cleaning the oven! Takes forever, not satisfying at all as it never looks sparkly clean afterwards.

SmallandSpanish · 25/03/2023 22:40

Cleaning the tooth brush mug. Just. I can't even. No.

mrsfollowill · 25/03/2023 22:42

Ironing- but after 30 years of ironing I have retired! I'm done. It had got to the stage where the only things in the house that needed ironing were DH's work shirts and both his and DS's T shirts. None of my clothes need ironing-hang all my tops up to dry and they are fine.
I did years of 10 formal shirts a week plus all the other stuff and now it's DH's job. He 'quite likes doing it'. He can crack on. I still do all the washing/drying and leave him an ironing pile.
Only 29 more years for him then he has matched me and I may reconsider picking the iron up again Grin

Getting a ring of dried-on black treacle off a cupboard shelf.

Nanalisa60 · 25/03/2023 22:49

Cleaning the windows, you think there are lovely and clean then the sun shines through and they are just a mess. I just can’t get clean smear free windows.
