Well anything house work could be deemed worthy of a place in this category, but I really hate putting the washing away🙄🙄🙄🙄 it makes me so irrationality angry!

The thing I put off the most is mopping the floors. There are so many stages before you even get to the mopping part, tidying, hoovering, moving stuff. By that point I just can’t be arsed to mop as well

Emptying the bins
Transferring the pile of bagged dog poo from the dog poo corner of the garden into the black bin
Clipping the big dog's nails

Doing the cat litter. I handed it over to dh when I was pregnant and have managed to never take it back. Youngest Ds is now 16!

We used to pay our child 5p per paired socks from the odd sock pile. Cost about £2 per month, kept them busy, improved various skills and we had paired socks!

Omg this is genius. And I have a babe I can train for the role. Brilliant!

All of it. I don’t mind doing it, sometimes having one big “let’s do the house!” burst: everything gets emptied or filled or cleaned or hoovered or organised and it’s wonderful. But within five minutes you have to do it all again. It’s relentless and makes me want to burn all our possessions.

Changing the fitted sheets on the DCs bunk beds. Almost impossible. Makes me very grumpy

Emptying the dishwasher gives me the rage, though I am totally happy stacking it 🤷‍♀️😂

Yes to PP who said vacuuming the stairs.

Also I hate cooking, along with food shopping and deciding what to cook. I'm no fan of cleaning but I'd rather clean than do the cooking. Unfortunately I have to do both as I'm on my own so no deals to be struck.

DoubleShotEspresso · 26/03/2023 22:44

Emptying the dishwasher is my most tediously mind numbing task!

And hoovering stairs

Ha! My DH does all the floors, always. He does all the hoovering, too.
And all the washing up.
Also the bins and the gardening.
I do all the washing, though, and most of the cooking.
But he goes and collects the shopping, after I order it online.
I am always horrified when I read threads about DHs who do absolutely nothing in the house. Mine shared the load with childcare, too.

We have a kitchen cupboard door that regularly falls off its bottom hinge and makes me swear like a sailor every time it happens to me. Whole kitchen needs replacing in all honesty but we have better things to put our money towards, like university aged kids.
