Well anything house work could be deemed worthy of a place in this category, but I really hate putting the washing away🙄🙄🙄🙄 it makes me so irrationality angry!

OP posts:
coffeecupsandwaxmelts · 25/03/2023 22:53

Emptying the bins and cleaning the litter trays 😬

Baldieheid · 25/03/2023 22:56

Vacuuming the stairs. Flat floors - fine but stairs drive me mad. Even a lift off shark doesn't make it less miserable. I get OH to do it...

MaraScottie · 25/03/2023 23:03

Cleaning out the fridge. And all those fecking shelves and drawers.

GuyFawkesDay · 25/03/2023 23:03

Ironing. I do kids school shirts and that's it now 😂
Closely followed by putting away washing.
Putting the recycling out

All of these are not DH jobs

Food things I'm fine with. Happy to sort that
Clothes; I wash, dry and fold, he puts away.

Drawing cleaning from shower is grim
Cleaning the trap in the sink. Where DOES that black gunk come from?
Cleaning up after the dog.

GuyFawkesDay · 25/03/2023 23:04

Drain cl8🤣, not drawing 🤨

Agree 100%. Closely followed by dusting around everyone's belongings.

Cleaning cat litter
Cleaning the shower
De -gunking the oven

ScottBakula · 25/03/2023 23:08

There is nothing I hate but a lot of stuff i put off for far to long so it takes me ages THEN I hate it , that said I don't iron anything at all , I have a robot vac ( Eufy ) that runs around every day so I only get out the big vac ( a old but incredibly powerful Vax ) about once every two or three weeks .
I dislike cleaning the oven but with this https://www.lakeland.co.uk/4972/oven-mate-oven-cleaning-gel-500ml-brush-and-gloves-cleaning-kit it is quite easy and very satisfying there is no smell with this either .
Like pp I am hopeless at cleaning windows, they look fine until the sun shines

Cleaning the tooth brush mug. Just. I can't even. No.

I just stick ours in the dishwasher.

DivineAffliction · 25/03/2023 23:08

I loathe unloading the dishwasher. We have a ‘temporary’ kitchen (don’t ask), and the dishwasher doesn’t fit, so the door doesn’t stay open the way it should. Which means you have to hold the door down in an open position with one hand or foot while you take things out, or it springs shut and smashes the glasses. It makes me hate my life and want to punch people.

KnottyKnitting · 25/03/2023 23:17

Ironing- but having said that I haven't really done any since the first COVID lockdown. Used to spend about 2 hours a week ironing everything ( except under wear and socks- I wasn't totally insane!) Just fold stuff straight out of the warm tumble dryer or off the line.

Smooth clothes are over rated- creases rock!

We used to pay our child 5p per paired socks from the odd sock pile. Cost about £2 per month, kept them busy, improved various skills and we had paired socks!

I offered DD(11) a tenner to pair 1 crate socks. She gave up after 3 pairs!!!

We have 3 crates of un paired socks. I buy them rather than pair them.

kimchifix · 25/03/2023 23:28

Cleaning other people's skid marks off the loo. Especially when they appear to have swallowed cement. Plus the Splash-back. No thanks.

JaneJeffer · 25/03/2023 23:39

Cleaning the bloody fridge

GymNewbie · 25/03/2023 23:40

Putting the ironing /washing machine away.
Unpacking groceries.

I'll happily iron, mop, hoover, clean windows etc love grocery shopping though

Aposterhasnoname · 25/03/2023 23:42

Cleaning the bathroom. No matter how much I wipe, no matter how many new cloths I use, there is always one hair left, which, when I wipe it, becomes two.

JoanDarc · 25/03/2023 23:44

Unloading the dishwasher, absolutely hate it. See also filling the car with petrol but realise this isn’t technically an in the home chore.

mrsbyers · 25/03/2023 23:46

I have a lovely cleaner that does most of the regular stuff but not laundry - I currently have around 4 loads worth of my stuff on the spare bed taunting me , I will get it put away tomorrow even if it kills me !

Deafdonkey · 25/03/2023 23:48

FallingAsleepAlready · 25/03/2023 23:48

usedtoliveinnz · 25/03/2023 23:49

longtompot · 25/03/2023 23:58

I had one which I was going to add to this thread, but the more I read it, the more I needed to add, so cleaning is the one household chore I hate.

Yayyayitsaholiholiday · 26/03/2023 00:03

@SmallandSpanish just put it in the dishwasher once a week……. If it’s not dishwasher safe, purchase one that is!! 🤷🏼‍♀️
