Coffee is extortionate everywhere but at a local shop...completely out of my price range!

Pascha · 16/03/2023 17:25

I know it's six quid locally which is why I only ever buy it from places like B&M when they have it on offer.

rattlinoldbones · 16/03/2023 17:26

£7.50

Azera 90g was £6.35 in my local supermarket the other day. I was outraged, so I'd guess similar.

How much then? Don't be dragging this out please Grin

jumpingjenn3h · 16/03/2023 17:35

OK my guess would have been £3-£4 so perhaps I am shocked more than most?

I honestly don't remember seeing coffee being so expensive?

The others were slightly larger at around £8 (see photographs)

Has prices of coffee significantly gone up recently or have I been living in a black hole? is there a reason why? I know many other items have been increasing too but I love coffee... noooooo! I can't live without it haha!

Kenco.. £9.85!

OK I know a larger jar but even so! What!!! That's nearly 10% of our weekly food shop for the 2 of us...

Feel free to join me in my outrage 🤣🤣

It's a Co-Op, at which items are often more expensive due to it being a "convenience store".

QuillBill · 16/03/2023 17:53

You have to dedicate yourself to buying the one you like when it's reduced. I cant enjoy it knowing I've paid so much for it.

User47328976 · 16/03/2023 17:54

I bought some for £3.50 Tesco clubcard price recently which is the same as the Amazon price upthread, usual price is about £6, I only buy coffee on offer

Pascha · 16/03/2023 18:08

Your not wrong to be bothered by the full price cost since everything is bad lately. Olive oil is the one that got me recently, I've stopped buying it for now.

I buy ground coffee and put it in a French press which is cheaper, but we only have coffee once a day do its not a big issue to wash it all out etc.

Pascha · 16/03/2023 18:09

*you're

I'm my own grammar police Hmm

This.

They're always on offer, no-one ever actually pays the full price, do they?
