DP is working today. Ds and I are in our snoodies watching Cbeebies. Having a lazy morning after a busy week. Most housework done yesterday just need to put a wash on and do a wee bit ironing.

Mum and MIl coming for lunch then a roast dinner later 😋

What a weirdly comfortable and interesting thread to read!!

Came back to bed with a cuppa and the cat and been here for hours!
Housework
A long walk before the rain starts
Watching the rugby
Sorting out wardrobe (again). I had a really good go at it last weekend while DP was here (and he's brutal) but getting ready to go out last night I tried a couple of things on and decided they looked very dated so going to get rid.
Bath, followed by wine and going to start watching the Detectors

I've been up since the back of six 🙄 The inability to sleep any longer as I get older is a pita. Lucysmam I'm sorry to hear that you are unwell. I missed your usual thread. I have washed all the floors and had a shower. In a while I'll do a small ironing and make a Mary Berry lemon drizzle cake. Steak fajitas for dinner

My sister and her husband have visited us in Australia for the first time since 2019. We have had such a wonderful day, my three adult kids and families joined us for lunch, I am so happy 😊

bert3400 · 12/03/2023 11:05

Currently sitting on my balcony wondering if Jeans or Shorts ...summer has come early to Spain . Off to watch DH in a sporting event this afternoon.

I've been laid out, in my pillow and blaket fort, for the past three days, with some sort of vomiting bug I probably picked up at work 🤢

Feel brighter today but my gut is making some odd gurgling sounds 🤔

I'm going to very slowly potter and try to eat something as I've no energy atm.

The girls want to go to Lidl 🤷‍♀️so I'll give them my card & wonder what randomness they'll bring back.

Definitely early showers and bed for everyone tonight.

I might attempt a bit of crochet before that though, since my attention span has returned & I'm no longer up-chucking all the time 🧶

@lucysmam

I'm pleased to hear from you! Yesterday I looked to see if you'd posted since Monday, when you said you'd been sick, but I couldn't find you anywhere!

I replied to your post on that thread, but I have a feeling I forgot to @ you 🤦🏻‍♀️

Girls-Card-Lidl..... we'll need a full report later!!

pleased to hear you're feeling a bit better!!

TRY to take it easy today 💐

Eggsley · 12/03/2023 11:23

@SoggyGround I always find these thread lovely to read.

@lucysmam I looked for your thread yesterday but couldn't find it. I hope you are on the mend and feeling much better soon.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Zippedydoo123 · 12/03/2023 11:26

Am going for a half hour constitutional walk after lunch. To the Co Op and back. I try to walk as briskly as possible to enhance health and wellbeing. Need a small handful of items to tide us over in between the Asd a online weekly shop.I

Then I will be watching the news and a bit more number before it is time to cook our veggie dinner later.

Zippedydoo123 · 12/03/2023 11:27

Mumsnet not number. Flippin' autocorrect!

SunshineLollipopsAndRainbows · 12/03/2023 11:27

Always like these threads. Not been feeling well this morning & went back to bed but think I’ll probably be better up & about. Driving DD14 to a friend’s later then if I’m ok, peeling spuds & carrots for tea ( bangers, double cream mash, sweetcorn for me, carrots & petitpois) Been trying to up my steps daily so will go for a walk at some point although not too far as I overdid it midweek & have really suffered since. DH & I might watch a film tonight. We both loved Call The Midwife - Sunday evenings aren’t the same without it.

liveforsummer · 12/03/2023 11:28

Having a lazy morning then going to spend the afternoon at the stables with dd2. We were there for 10 hours yesterday and only just defrosted so putting it off as long as possible 😆

Toddlerteaplease · 12/03/2023 11:29

Working. But we've got 1 patient, to three nurses and two support workers. I can't give staff away as everyone is fully staffed. So we had McDonald's breakfast.

evtheria · 12/03/2023 11:30

Currently stood in the shopping centre, waiting for Waterstones to open Angry DP and DS are doing an activity nearby so I've been hanging about eating a lot of hash browns.

specialkallday · 12/03/2023 11:32

Going to DN birthday party as SIL and BIL's house. Looking forward to giving our DS something to do as he's been hard work this weekend (threenager) 😅

Then home to make a fish pie and try and chill until his bedtime.

Weather is nice in Hampshire, feels like Spring might be here finally x

ChangedmynameagainforChristmas · 12/03/2023 11:33

Been sledging all weekend. Today is more relaxed. I will be :-
Cleaning the kitchen and washing the floor
Walking the dogs
Going shopping
Cleaning the living room (nominated room for today)
Changing my bed
Did I say relaxed ?

Lastofyou · 12/03/2023 11:34

Up at half seven to make packed lunch for five and stick a stew in the slow cooker. Have walked the dogs for half an hour and done some washing. Just dropped DD1 off for her football match. DD 2 has county cricket training so watching that for an hour and half. DH has take both boys to their county hockey training.
We'll regroup this afternoon and I'll finish the housework, do the ironing and batch cook for the week. Also need to log on and do a bit of work.
Might sit down with a beer tonight and watch an episode of The Good Fight.

Purplecatshopaholic · 12/03/2023 11:36

Chilled morning with a nice, leisurely breakfast and out with doggies. Into town this afternoon to collect an online order. Get organised for busy week later - OH likely watching football ‘highlights’. Love a relaxed Sunday - weekends are too short!

Gingerbeerfear · 12/03/2023 11:40

Long walk with Ddog and DS rounded off by a lovely cooked breakfast and pot of tea sat outside the farm cafe. With luck I won’t have to cook much later.
All jobs done yesterday so going to nest under my blanket on the sofa and hope that the rest of my coldy germs have gone by tomorrow.
Drink tea and put the fire on later.

CrackersCheeseAndWinePlease · 12/03/2023 11:55

DH has gone to asda. I'm sat on the sofa in my pjs listening to magic radio trying to summon some energy to tidy up. This afternoon I'm off to my mums, pick dd up from a sleepover then back home for a Sunday roast, bath for dd7 then sofa in front of the tv with DH

Decafflatteplease · 12/03/2023 13:20

MeinKraft · 12/03/2023 10:08

I was wondering if you were ok because you didn't start the threads this weekend! Hope you feel better soon Flowers

Me too @MeinKraft I always look for @lucysmam Saturday morning thread it's a lovely way to start the weekend, so cosy and comforting just hearing everyone's normal weekend stuff it's just lovely and I can't really explain why. Sorry you are ill lucysmam hope you better soon!

Simonjt · 12/03/2023 13:41

Another poster relieved that @lucysmam is here, I hope you’re feeling better soon.

We’ve all been swimming this morning, we celebrated Holi yesterday, we were still stained but the chlorine sorted that out for us.

We’re having some people over later for food, so I’m making a few dishes for that, puran poli is our favourite. I’m already on kurta number two as I can’t keep my food hands off my clothes.

Theoldwoman · 12/03/2023 13:51

It’s Sunday evening here. I’m sitting up waiting to pick DC’s up from the train station after being at the Ed Sheeran concert.

Trying to stay awake Zzzz Zzzz

doubleshotcappuccino · 12/03/2023 13:54

Love this thread ! Teens late to bed last night after various social engagements so very slow start. Have got on top of the laundry and still watching obsession in preparation for the new season . Also made lamb chops .. marinated in lemon and yoghurt - sealed in pan and finished off in oven - had some flat bread left over and bits and pieces .. all cleaning done yesterday so that I could take it easy today as DH working

doubleshotcappuccino · 12/03/2023 13:54

Succession not obsession ( although I am obsessed)

Ilovelurchers · 12/03/2023 14:05

I cooked breakfast for my husband and daughter (proper angel of the hearth, me!) Then dd and I watched Anaconda (the old movie) in her bed....

She was then picked up by her dad, and I went to M and S with my mom - am now at mom and dad's, though will go home soon. My husband is watching the football on TV this afternoon I believe.....

Therewere5inthebed · 12/03/2023 14:06

A lazy start as cuddled up to DP in bed, then jumped on by cats so fed them and made myself a cuppa to take back to bed as DP was still snoozing.

Once out of bed DP made brunch while I hung out some washing.

I had a leisurely shower and considered options for the day.

Laundry.. I’m now on my third dry load of the day as it’s so bloody windy. Towels have been drying in an hour so too good an opportunity to miss.

Now another cuppa before some needle felting and starting a roast.
