I was going to say Just when you think they can't sink any lower. Except we know now they will go to any depths.

I visit DS and family every 5 weeks or so. Yesterday we were saying how it was amazing that every time I visit, “they” have sunk to a new low, when you really did not think it possible.

What worries and angers me the most is the sheer fact that they openly admit they don't care what the truth is and whether he was right or wrong.

It's all a game to them.

Richard Sharp gave a friend a job advising the BBC on editorial standards and impartiality and then gave her a second BBC role - without declaring their friendship and whilst he chaired the nominations committee.

He introduced the friend to her husband and was an usher at their wedding.

I'm shocked I tell you, shocked!

EXCL: BBC chairman Richard Sharp helped a friend — at whose wedding he was an usher — get a £1,000/day paid role advising the corporation on standards

It's just never ending with this lot.

It's all a game to them.

But what worries me is.... those that vote Tory because....

They always have done and don't care
Boris should still be PM and he was stitched up
Labour will have open borders
They can't manage the economy
Blah blah

Will just do the same. The nearer the GE gets, the more nervous I will be.

My best friend is a Tory through and through (don't ask!). We agree on so so much but we can't do politics, we've known each other over 40 years closely. We just avoid politics, she's a fab person, we've been through so much together. She says 'Labour will get in, I know that'.

I hope so!

'Migrants flight to Rwanda by Summer' Telegraph.
Suella: I'll send boat migrants to Rwanda by Summer" - Mail on Sunday
First Rwanda Asylum Flights this Summer - Express

"Mail, Express and Telegraph get taken on a taxpayer funded Braverman trip to Rwanda. Each paper dutifully splashes their Sunday edition with the headline she's asked for. Client journalism as it's most blatant and we're paying for it."

twitter.com/samfr/status/1637215637188509697?s=46&t=Uw4lJNwxFZFnX0Xs3doHYg

And nothing to indicate the legal position has changed at all - or that Rwanda can cater for more than 200.

That's your £140 million plus ££££ payments to pay for Braverman & pals to travel for the sake of a headline.

Cost of living crisis? Let's flash the cash elsewhere.

How can this happen

MoD apologises for asking Afghans to get Taliban’s approval to come to UK

I understand we are paying a lot of money for flights to Rwanda and for accomodation there. It is nice to here they are going to be used. Do we know how many years she is going for?

So what happened to journalistic dedication to freedom of information and freedom of speech? If the journalists invited on that littlej jolly had any honour, they would have refused to go unless the BBC, Independent, Guardian and Mirror were invited.

Roussette · 19/03/2023 07:48

The pictures of Braverman in Rwanda are sickening. And I just hope they come back to bite her on the arse.

Indeed Roussette Angry

L1ttledrummergirl · 19/03/2023 10:16

It's really distasteful. I'm also not impressed that match of the day dropped Linekar last night, seemingly without comment.
What happened to all those standing down in solidarity?

Braverman has distracted from the free speech issue.

DuncinToffee · 19/03/2023 10:41

Lineker wasn't dropped, he was commentating on the FA match earlier in the afternoon, live on the BBC.
He tweeted to confirm this as many people thought the same.

L1ttledrummergirl · 19/03/2023 10:52

In that case, I happily stand corrected. Thank you for that. One less thing to worry about (free speech).
Braverman doesn't give a shiny shit for the environment does she?

DuncinToffee · 19/03/2023 11:07

Braverman doesn't give a shiny shit

I really hope that picture of her laughing in front of a detention camp will haunt her forever.

It will. And the rest of her odious party.

DuncinToffee · 19/03/2023 11:24

Yes that one Piggy

She posed for it.

Notonthestairs · 19/03/2023 13:24

Yes she will have signed off that image.

I'm sure the aim was simply to upset/annoy as many non supporters as possible - the old "we must be doing something right if the anti growth alliance is upset" etc etc. Tedious rubbish.

Johnson is submitting his "bombshell" evidence (that's he's just found down the back of the Lulu Lytle sofa) today or tomorrow- wonder how long it will be before he leaks it to a friendly newspaper.

Fladdermus · 19/03/2023 13:33

That picture is awful. What is wrong with her?

Is Johnson's evidence going to insist that he was the only person in the country over the age of 5 who did not know that the Prime Minister had banned parties?

We may need rather a long thread to discuss that.

May I though start with the suggestion tha she hates people.

At the risk of being banned from hosting Match Of The Day, even the feckin nazi's tried to keep up the pretense of not being evil.

Fladdermus · 19/03/2023 13:48

Apologies for the errant apostrophe. Suella made me do it.
