Do you remember these bags from the 90s

Era of Benetton and sweater shop sweaters.

Backpack were big typically a flap over and two from pockets but I had a really distinctive one.

The one I'm trying to remember was was tartan and had thin realleather straps with a buckle and the buckle was also real leather and it had a distinctive swivelly mechanism.

It was a good brand I'm sure maybe Le Sac?

I still dream of them bringing the old benetton duffle bags back. I used to have about 8 of them all different colours.

I’ve still got benetton duffel bag somewhere. It’s blue. Not sure where it is.

I remember the sweater shop sweaters were around £25 in the mid 1990s so god knows what that would be today!

I went to a vintage shop the other day seeking a sweater shop jumper, they had never heard of it! The person I asked was late 30s.

£25 in 1994 is £63 today

I don't remember those particular bags but I loved my Sweater Shop sweatshirts. They were massive and great quality. I'd love them now as I find it hard to find good cotton sweatshirts. I had a navy one with rainbow logo and an aqua one with white logo. Benetton and The Sweater Shop used to be heaving on a Saturday. I miss those days.

I don't bother with vintage shops. I went in and asked for some flares and the 20 something lady did not know what they were. She then tried to sell me a shell suit.

I had this bag too!

I followed a Gen Z through town who was unironically in an outfit I have a photo of me wearing at the same age, right down to the rucksack. The difference between us though is I was unpopular and bullied whereas she is the height of chic fashion.

But in answer to the OP those type of mini backpacks were typically found on market stalls or in C&A or New Look. Tartan with beige straps and buckles or back faux leather

But bigger so a full size and and red tartan. This has pale tan real leather straps though and was a lovely soft thick cottony fabric!

Our local shopping centre had Benetton, the Sweater Shop and Paco all next to each other and were packed on a Saturday. Everybody wanted a Saturday job in one of those shops

Me too!!! Brings back a lot of memories that bag. It was indestructible too.
