Are curtain bangs getting a bit dated now ?

Had to google what curtain bangs are since I didn’t know curtains had bangs hah!

Curtain swags? My mum had them in the eighties.

What are they? Are they American?

No they are making a big comeback and all the youngsters are getting them.

Curtain pelmet? I've not seen them for a while.

Yet curtains and blinds together are perfect for blocking out sun and heat, or for keeping warmth in during the winter.

I thought pelmets went out of fashion a long time ago? I quite like the idea of them returning, like vinyl LPs

I love the box pelmet look for curtains.

Nope they’re not going anywhere atm ! And bottle neck bangs are a variation of curtain bangs so versatile u don’t have to have them styled like curtains bangs can be swept over to side ect ! Short bobs are all in and lived in blonds big atm lots of roots melts reverse balayages on blondes and lots of dimension x

Please say curtain bangs are over and have a vote so I can persuade my son who has had them for 2 years now to get his hair cut 💇‍♂️

Probably. I've just had them done and wouldn't class myself as an early adopter.

Bangs is what the yoof at school call a fringe. Curtain bangs are a long, grown out fringe. They would also tell you to "search it up" no doubt.

I thought this was about tie backs, which I still have for my curtains. Why are those hairstyles called curtain bangs? I can sort of see why curtains but it’s the bangs bit I don’t get.

Bangs is the American term for a fringe.

Bangs is American. It's fringe in the UK. Hair related.

Curtains and curtain bangs/ fringe are totally different things. To various pp talking more about the curtain haircut.
