If it’s an ITV ‘drama’ with SS in……then bad is the standard as a rule …..🤣 is it so bad it’s unwatchable or so bad you can laugh at it ? (like the dolce and

Agreed, it's awful. But then again I think Sheridan Smith is awful in everything.

I have finally found my people!!! SS is a jumped up little prick, I don’t know why she bothers me so much but she does.

Id rather watch Jane Macdonald scare the elderly with a rendition of Stormzy in the Mediterranean on C5 all day any day…

I’m kind of offended by it, if this was a male teacher it wouldn’t have aired. The way it’s all framed like a mystery against this character I think we’re all supposed to like when she kind of deserves what she gets.

She irritates me. I get the impression she thinks she's the greatest actor ever. She's really not.

Ex teacher here. I found it creepy as fuck and stopped watching.

Can't watch anything with her in. Just walked past the theatre where she was standing outside being applauded for her role in Shirley Valentine, have a visceral reaction to her and had to cross the road, no idea why, I also feel this way about Loulou though.

It's not brand new. I watched it last year, I dislike Ss as an actress also.

Almost as bad as the Cleaning up she was in.

Oh god that was utterly shit, I watched it last year.

I found the mix of shots of UK towns and interiors that look nothing like British buildings really distracting. SS’ dad lived in a gorgeous house, but it clearly wasn’t anywhere in the UK!

Similar thing with the Harlan Coben adaptations on Netflix. Filmed in the northwest, but not really meant to be the NW iirc. Also all the young characters in those dressed like no young person actually does. Gave the whole thing a weird unreal feeling.

I watched The Teacher a few months ago. Luckily I have erased most of it from my mind, except for the endless bloody sighing from SS. She's sighed more than she spoke. Once you've heard it.... 😖
