For those who were born in their due date….

Not quite a thread about a thread but another thread got me thinking:-

I was born on my due date. Only about 4% of babies are.

Whenever I tell people about it (rarely but I did when we were all having babies as quite relevant then…) people always comment that I would be as it fits my personality. (I’m very logical, organised, detail oriented and slightly obsessive.)

Obviously a clear case of confirmation bias but just interested to know the personalities of other due date babies…..

So if you were overdue are you supposing you are always running late for things etc too?

Stickmansmum · 27/02/2023 23:37

Emu first was 1 week early, second 1 week late, next two on their due dates.

OldTinHat · 27/02/2023 23:41

My 24yr old DC was born on their due date. Logical but always late, laid back to the point of being horizontal, everything is 'in a minute...'. Their poor DP suffers!

funnily enough it is my eldest childs birthday today and he was born on his due date. With my next child I went into labour on my due date but they sneaked into.the next day by an hour or so.
My third was born 5days early ! It caught me out as I was all organised to have them on the allotted date but it worked out well as they were due on the 6th nov but arrived on the first meaning i was back home in plenty of time to do the fireworks on bonfire night !
I have always been a v organised person as it happens !

Worriedsis10 · 27/02/2023 23:49

I was born on my due date and so was my eldest daughter

Sparklingbrook · 27/02/2023 23:50

DS was. His timekeeping is still a work in progress, and he struggles to get up in the mornings. He's quite untidy too.

SheilaFentiman · 27/02/2023 23:52

One of mine was, but he’s not organised or detail obsessed 😀

32WindsorGardensBinLorry · 28/02/2023 00:12

My DS1 was born on his due date. And it was a Monday and the first of the month. He does generally just crack on with things.

DS2 was born on a Thursday at 38+5 middle/late in the month. No bloody idea how old he was as a baby when asked, just couldn’t compute it! He is a bit more unpredictable!

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 28/02/2023 07:18

MiL had both her babies on their due dates. Very much her personality. She is very neat , logical and organised. She's a programmer.

MrsBunnyEars · 28/02/2023 07:29

I was two weeks late, but I’m the organised, early type.

But my DD was two weeks early, so I wonder if it is more about the mums!

(I’m actually sure it’s all bollocks, but entertainingly so)

daffodilandtulip · 28/02/2023 07:38

DD was born on the date I initially worked out from my missed period/pregnancy test. The date the scan/midwife said was a week later.

PuttingDownRoots · 28/02/2023 07:50

DD was born on her DD.
She likes doing things when no one is expecting it... everyone said she wouldn't be born on her DD!

Moveforward · 28/02/2023 07:54

I'm always early for things. I was turfed out by cesarean at plus 14 days

WinterNightStars · 28/02/2023 08:01

My eldest DD was born on her due date. She likes to be organised & hates any kind of uncertainty. Mind you I'm the same & was overdue 🤔

Thefailinghousewife · 28/02/2023 08:05

Ds was born on his due date - surprised me as I’ve never done anything the right way!

He’s only 11, but it suits his personality - he would hate to let anyone down by turning up late!

ForYouManImADoomBoy · 28/02/2023 08:46

i was born a day later than my due date and it was by induction. my mom had a stillborn baby the year before i was born so the doctors didnt want her going overdue with me really. the induction didnt take effect quick enough for the due date though so i was born just as the pubs opened the following afternoon

LoobyDop · 28/02/2023 08:49

Haha. I was, but only just- four minutes to midnight! And I do pride myself now on being efficient, well-organised and never late.

Chelsea26 · 28/02/2023 09:26

I was 8 days late, the wrong way up, back to front and a cesarean - explains a lot tbh

cheatingcrackers · 28/02/2023 10:27

I was born on my due date… I hate being late but I wouldn’t say I’m particularly organised.

DH was very very overdue and he is late for everything.

louise5754 · 28/02/2023 10:28

My eldest was but it was via induction / an emergency c section

DappledThings · 28/02/2023 10:43

I have never thought to associate anyone's arrival date with their personality. That's bizarre.

Justkeepsmilingx · 28/02/2023 10:58

My first, a Son was born on his due date….standing joke in the family as I am last minute for everything and often a few minutes late. He is the most disorganised and always late to places of my children. My daughter was three days late and likes to be early to things and plans and is far more organised - so think in our family it’s more genetics.

pebbles3004 · 28/02/2023 11:15

My son was born on his due date, which suited me as I hate being late and my job is built around following critical date paths to ensure projects are landed on time, so my colleagues loved that he arrived bang on time 🤣

Although I went into labour 3 days before my DD so if you'd have told me then that I had 3 more days to go, I would have croaked 🥲

HeadacheEarthquake · 28/02/2023 11:49

Definitely confirmation bias but I was 3 weeks premature -

I am the most impatient person I know or anyone who's ever met me knows.

hiredandsqueak · 28/02/2023 12:04

I was born on my due date despite the midwife's best efforts to get me out sooner. Due on Christmas Day homebirth. I stuck it out until 11.58pm. I'd say that it pretty much sums me up stubborn to a fault also organised and precise.
Of my dc the one born three weeks early is laidback horizontal, everything in his own time and the one nine days late is precise, organised, obsessive and impatient so not sure the analogy works.
