Science, they have done a lot of research to hook you.

IHopeYouStepOnALegPiece · 27/02/2023 20:03

They didn’t sell the salt and vinegar ones here so I was safe (sad but safe!) and they imported them in a few months ago and it’s a fucking shambles for me I tell you!

The Bbq ones contain msg which h explains alot.

HaveYouSeenNancy · 27/02/2023 20:04

They must do. I have eaten salt and vinegar Pringles until the skin has come away from the inside of my cheeks, and my tongue hurts - and I still don't stop until they've all gone.

AtleastitsnotMonday · 27/02/2023 20:04

That's why their so expensive

xJoy · 27/02/2023 20:05

Basically yes! food scientists perfected the level of crunchiness so that it's not too soft but not too hard. It's basically baby bear crack, indeed.

NCSQ · 27/02/2023 20:05

Hahahaha!

Yes, without doubt. I don't even like crisps that much and I literally can't not eat the full tube. Don't go near them for this reason.

Oh fuck, I’ve just realised they’re £5.34 a can here!

Fucking foreign currency’s pretending to be Monopoly money!

Pringles are rank so you are welcome to my share 😁

scoutcat · 27/02/2023 20:09

I've had to go dairy free for my little girl and these are what I crave the most 😭

Tgif2023 · 27/02/2023 20:10

I laughed at loud at the thread title.
I don't know anything else as addictive (I live a sheltered life). My DH said the pringles killed his granny (she ate loads apparently).

I apologise for my ignorance but they contain dairy!?

Dreamies for humans!

scoutcat · 27/02/2023 20:15

@IHopeYouStepOnALegPiece Yes! I think it's just the original ones that don't. I was gutted as salt and vinegar are my favourite ever. Even the Aldi ones contain milk 😭

Was going to say this. I can be in actual discomfort with my tongue burning from the prawn cocktail ones and still keep eating.

This thread has made me really want salt and vinegar Pringles. However given I'm currently suffering with a nasty throat infection, I don't think it would end well.

@Phos

id be willing to give it a go!!

when
i was young I got tonsillitis over & over until they finally took them out when I was 7 (and mainly because I was continually passing it onto my younger brother. Typical 70's!!)

I was ENCOURAGED to eat crisps!! (I think the theory was to remove any infection/gunk).

That is extremely sad!! I hope you can enjoy a tube of crack crisps soon!
