Do Pringles contain a coating of crack?

The bottom of the tube came around awfully fast

This thread has made me really want salt and vinegar Pringles. However given I'm currently suffering with a nasty throat infection, I don't think it would end well.

My brother gets chronic tonsillitis several times a year and swears by salt and vinegar crisps for it! Cleans the gunk off or something equally gross

The only thing that stopped me was realising there’s about a 1000 calories in a whole tube. And I honestly can’t stop once I start, so best I just don’t start 😢

TruthRevolution · 27/02/2023 20:27

Definitely laced with crack, so are the packets of marabou daim sweets that you can buy in ikea.

I should point out he was off school for a week age 9 because he made himself hideously sick from drinking vinegar (and 25y later still does…you’ve never met anyone who consumes this much vinegar)
si I can’t vouch for his sensible advice!

@IHopeYouStepOnALegPiece that is so funny about your brother 😂 DH and DS take a capful of apple cider vinegar when they have a cold/ sore throat but I read your post and did a double take. Literally drinks vinegar?? 😂

I wouldn't chug so much I'm sick BUT I do swear by a spoonful of Sarsons (other brands are available) malt vinegar as a surefire cure for hiccups.

They must do. I have eaten salt and vinegar Pringles until the skin has come away from the inside of my cheeks, and my tongue hurts - and I still don't stop until they've all gone.

Made my mouth bleed with Salt and Vinegar discos when I was pregnant, the ultimate salt and vinegar experience.

Yup! He drinks vinegar, eats anything pickled (and drinks the liquid), add’s vinegar to salt and vinegar crisps because they’re a not enough and eats picked onions like they’re going out of style. He asks for a catering size jar of pickled onions and catering size tub of vinegar for each birthday and Christmas

OP posts:
IHopeYouStepOnALegPiece · 27/02/2023 20:34

he used to take cheese, garlic and vinegar sandwiches to school

I feel the same way about prawn cocktail Discos. I Can never just have the one bag! Wish they would do a tube version of them like Pringles.. or maybe not as I wouldn’t be able to stop myself!

Always4Brenner · 27/02/2023 20:35

Never liked salt and vinegar but Pringles aren’t the same now not as salty d0nt like the bbq and other flavours I don’t fancy at all.

GorgeousLadyofWrestling · 27/02/2023 20:35

Wow that is crazy! He really likes strong flavours, eh! That is so mad. Presumably they don’t give him ulcers or a bad stomach or anything? He must have a stomach lined with iron.

garlictwist · 27/02/2023 20:36

I ended up in a&e when I was 16 as I thought I was dying with severe stomach cramps. Turned out is just overdone it on the Pringles. I have never touched one since.

Rebel2 · 27/02/2023 20:38

I miss the salt and pepper ones

But yes, I can't buy them or have them in the house!

Rockbird · 27/02/2023 20:42

Eat the whole grain ones. I tried one today and could definitely pop and stop. Normal green ones though, gone in the blink of an eye! 😋

SkyHippoOnACloud · 27/02/2023 20:46

I think they must do! There's no having just a few is there

eatdrinkandbemerry · 27/02/2023 20:47

I swear the salt and vinegar ones are covered in acid 😉
They take the skin completely off my tongue but like a dickhead I keep eating them 🤷‍♀️🤣

Spanisheomellletttes · 27/02/2023 21:06

Why are they so expensive in Denmark??! We down below in Germany, and they retail for 1,50-2,00 euros. There are some cheaper ones, like they sell at Aldi, but they just aren't the same.

GimmeBiscuits · 27/02/2023 21:08

Same as Salsa and Tortilla chips. Impossible to stop until you've run out of one of them.

Spanisheomellletttes · 27/02/2023 21:19

What I find difficult to understand is how so many adults (including me) will eat Pringles to the point of physical injury (removing skin in mouth) and then keep on eating. Surely this pain should act as a deterrent but it doesn't. Pringles sure has done its research well.

FatAgainItsLettuceTime · 27/02/2023 21:51

Only had them once because they're hard to get hold of and stupidly expensive being US imports but if you see them you have got to try the Dill Pickle ones! Seriously vinegary.

40sNonBlondes · 27/02/2023 22:13

OP is your brother called Malcolm?

Bunnyfuller · 27/02/2023 22:18

The Ready salted are like some new ambrosial flavour

Itstarts · 27/02/2023 22:29

Paprika pringles are perfection
