The bottom of the tube came around awfully fast

What I find difficult to understand is how so many adults (including me) will eat Pringles to the point of physical injury (removing skin in mouth) and then keep on eating. Surely this pain should act as a deterrent but it doesn't. Pringles sure has done its research well.

I never learn my lesson. Although the damage from a tube of Pringles pales in comparison to the damage I’ve done to the roof of my mouth from a big box of Maltesers. Still go back for more though!

moggerhanger · 27/02/2023 22:51

I don't like them and can't understand the fuss.

Supermarket own brand bacon rasher snacks though - I can eat a sharing bag in one go easily.

Pringles are rank!!

I did some serious damage to my throat after going on a bender of Salt and Vinegar Pringles & Monster Munch Pickled Onion. My throat was red raw, the pain was excruciating. How I kept eating to get to that point I’ll never understand. Ended up with my GP with a “sore throat”, I never divulged why.

Another time I was getting a bit of filler in my lips but forgotten I’d been on the S&V Pringles the night before and the girl looked quite freaked out and just said “what is this?” with white peels of skin inside my mouth ☺️😃

HereComesMaleficent · 27/02/2023 23:04

I do like pringles, but have never managed to eat a whole tube.

However I am fully addicted to any cheese puffs/cheese puff balls/cheetos/wotsit type crisps.
I can inhale a sharing bag 😳

Bagzzz · 27/02/2023 23:04

They may also be putting less in the tube but leaving tube the same size.

ComeTheFckOnBridget · 27/02/2023 23:39

The prawn cocktail ones are amazing

StrawHatOnTheParcelShelf · 27/02/2023 23:49

There's something in them that makes me feel a bit sick after eating them. I don't get that after eating vast amounts of any other crisp brand.

HedgehogB · 27/02/2023 23:51

I usually go by the principle, if my hand won’t fit in the tube any more, I have probably had enough.

namechangeforthisbleep · 28/02/2023 04:49

I love all crisps, I mean, I'm obsessed. Pringles are the only ones I don't like. Don't even resemble crisps. So yeah probably just crack and vinegar as can't think why else people eat them all 🤣

Smartstuffed · 28/02/2023 07:06

I bought a tube of Pringles in Sainsburys when I put it away I realised the height is shorter than the one already in the cupboard. Contents now weigh 160g compared to the 200g they were. Suspect that when I open it, the contents won't be near the top either.

They sell two slightly different sized tubes, you can still get the 200g ones.

I used to like Pringles and assumed (stupidly) that they were just potato crisps. I've gone right off them since I read the ingredients.

Its the dextrose in it

I hate pringles. But do agree once you start eating them, you cannot stop. Dread to think what's in them! Afterwards I think, they were gross why did I eat so many?!

user1471517095 · 28/02/2023 07:35

No, but Bacon Tuc biscuits do.

Starchipenterprise · 28/02/2023 09:26

Only if taste lengtheners are made from cocaine😂😂but they are added to make us eat them!

iamnottoofatiamjusttooshort · 28/02/2023 09:40

I buy the salt and vinegar ones occasionally when they are on offer as that's my least favourite flavour .. they may last a couple of evenings

The bbq/ prawn/ sour cream flavour however

Hoovered up in minutes

Emptycrackedcup · 28/02/2023 10:20

Also the tube makes you feel like less of a pig I think

The thread title was, “Do Pringles contain a coating of crack.”

Sounded like a fun, lighthearted conversation- I hadn’t realised I had to toe the line!

Smartstuffed · 28/02/2023 21:16

Ahhh... Thank you for letting me know. I've been getting very pessimistic about pack size/contents and price recently.

RicciardoPerez · 28/02/2023 21:19

Just stumbled across this thread whilst licking the salt and vinegar off my Pringles..... 🙄
