What are your teenage DS wearing?

DS has his 14 birthday soon & needs some new clothes following a growth spurt. He tells me he wants ‘plain’ things 🤷‍♀️
He is also very slim so lots of things for his age seem too big at the moment.

What do your teen boys like to wear & where do they shop?

jeans & trainers or timberland style boots
t-shirts or long armed t-shirts. plain or with space motifs. school (no uniform) doesn't allow writing and big brand symbols.

Jeans or joggers from Primark.

T-shirts that are to do with games, films,tv shows or bands they like. Same with hoodies.

Nearly 15 year old is mostly Under Armour, Nike or Fox stuff - all very plain, black, navy etc. Isn’t fussed by trainer brands just whatever is comfy. North face coat in black. Hasn’t worn jeans in years and is in shorts 95% of the time. Pretty much all his friends group wear exactly the same (except they wear joggers). They aren’t the ‘cool’ group who seem to favour Adidas and high top trainers.

Nearly 13 year old wears similar as most of his stuff is hand me downs 😂 he does like brighter t-shirts though and not bothered by brands at all

My DS 13 is also all about plain. If he has to wear something other than shorts and plain tshirt he'll wear either plain tracksuit pants from next or recently he's liking all saints jeans. He is 5'9" and slim so needs a belt but the 32w are ok on him. I've noticed that all saints and scotch and soda are good for plain stuff that lasts. But equally Tesco and next are good - but now he's in adult sizes next isn't as cheap as it used to be for kids stuff.

At 14 I think it would be better to give him the money so that he can go clothes shopping for himself, or take him out shopping and for a bit of lunch yourself if he’d/you’d prefer.

My DS is 15 and doesn't really have very firm opinions on his clothes. My solution (which I realise is no help to you Grin) is to let his twin sister choose.

That said she seems to find H&M to be fertile ground, and one my wallet is happy with.

She's still working on his hair.

At 14, ds preferred joggers to jeans.. sports direct did plainish ones (maybe Slazenger?) with only a small logo, some from primark (you might find a men’s size xs a better fit at this age.. both of mine were out of kid’s at that point) and some nicer ones from hollister.
For tops, Jack and Jones do some plain basic ones that are decent quality, H&M are a good shout as well. Both of those seem to wash well and last. Hollister again as well (I used to stock up in the sales).

Baggie light denim jeans, Abercrombie and Fitch hoody, Nike airforces in white.

Depends on the child obviously, my DS 16 wears slim (not skinny any more) trousers or jeans plain coloured t shirts and for pressies in the past I've got him tie dye hoodie from holister, and a sweatshirt from superdry that is really bright colours and he loves that. Both those shops have more fun clothing and good quality. Holister sweatpants are nice too. Next ok for basics

ime teens go through stages of loose clothing, oversized tshirts etc and the opposite. my oldest loves really tight tshirts. the kind that are slightly stretchy material.

DS2 (14) lives in Joggers and either a football top or some other sporty T-shirt

DS1 (19) wears Cargos or sometimes joggers, tops such as Stussy, Palace or Corteiz and AF1 or Jordan's
