I know this has been discussed before but I am sickened by the thought of the latest rumours surrounding his love life. 19 years old? Just so wrong!

Personally, I've always enjoyed a much older man. When I was 19/20 I was very happily and freely chasing men in their forties (and once fifties) because the good ones are more stable, better at sex, and have the money/experience of the world to teach you stuff and buy you things. By that age the nice ones and the mental ones are very easily distinguished, whereas men my own age were harder to read - is he a cute, awkward nerd or is he an incel?? Once they're middle-aged I think it's easier to tell whether they're a psycho or not. Now I have my own career, income, and life experience, significantly older men are less attractive, but I still think there's plenty to be said for wealth and power in terms of attractiveness. Even if you have your own money and power, both those things (plus, in this case, decades of huge professional success) endow a person with the kind of confidence that many find attractive.

I don't think he is gay. If he was while I can understand why he doesn't want to come out he doesn't need the ever present parade of v v young models. Kevin Spacy didn't do that and it was only talked about him being gay in the last few years. They might need a "beard" in their early career but he wouldn't now. Also he doesn't leave five minutes between them either.

Maybe he's not gay. Just because gossip websites say he is, doesn't make it so. He might just like having a succession of undemanding beauties in his life.

If I was a 19yo model wannabe actress, I would probably jump at the chance of being Leo's latest girlfriend. What fantastic publicity! I'd sign the NDA, fulfil my 12 month contract and move on to bigger and better things.

No idea what's true but if that's the case and they're long term maybe it's more for Lukas's benefit than his these days as he's a much lesser known actor and would presumably feel the effect more on his career opportunities than a star of Leo's stature.

He's an established and powerful actor, she's a teenage newcomer. He could further her career by introducing her to the right people, mentioning her name in the right ears, and bringing her to the attention of the right agencies. Or he could utterly destroy her, make sure her name is mud, trash her reputation, and make it so that she never works in that town again. I guess it all depends on how good she is at keeping him happy and how well she follows his rules and demands.

That's the power imbalance and that's why it's gross.

Yeah I can definitely see that too and the appeal of it for publicity. To me, I just find the whole living a lie thing just shows a lack of integrity and that's what I struggle with. Like a previous poster said, maybe he isn't gay which makes it even worse! But even if he is - it's not like it's the 1950s and what sort of message does it send out to young aspiring actors he feels the need to use women as beards? He's influential and could lead a culture change.

Even if you ignore the fact that a lot of the US is culturally conservative and Christian, who may not happily receive the news of his homosexuality or the fact he's been lying about it to them for decades, Hollywood doesn't make the big bucks out of US sales - it needs to be able to export films abroad, particularly to China. Leo coming out would kill his career in that market, which would kill his career in every market.

The world is not mono-cultural. Being gay is still a Big Deal in a lot of countries & cultures.

That's a really interesting point that you make and it's funny because I wouldn't even class myself as particularly liberal myself, but I guess it's a spectrum and as you say many are extremely conservative and the world isn't mono-cultural.

He isn't short of a quid or two though, do you know what I mean? By this stage in my career I'd be tired of living a lie/selling out and would probably opt to take the hit and focus on smaller projects. But hey, it's not me 😀And I also didn't realise this was a huge talking point on MN, but I see there are quite a few historic posts about him!! One day we'll know either way. The gay thing may not even be a thing!

I waitressed in New York for years and a very high proportion of the waiter/actors I knew were gay. My strong feeling was that acting and the theatre scene had a far far higher proportion of gay men than amongst let's say, bus drivers.

I am an actual actor and have been for 30 years. I have worked with many hundreds of male 'non famous' actors and can 100% tell you that 'most'of them are not gay.

Maybe they are just very good actors and you can't tell? 😉

I hope he's gay, because the alternative, that he has a proper relationship with a 19 year old is just revolting.

@Xrays yes I totally understand that if I got a woman pregnant then she'll put on weight but I've never been attracted to bigger women. I do find some women my age attractive but usually they end up telling me that they have kids which is a turn off because I want my own kids.

I also dont have much experience and many women my age have had tons of sexual parters while I only ever had one.

I know its not all about looks but I am a very visual person and looks do matter, I need to be physically attracted to a woman in order to have a relationship with her
