I know this has been discussed before but I am sickened by the thought of the latest rumours surrounding his love life. 19 years old? Just so wrong!

Teenagers are alien life forms to me, but I didn't suppose he expects a conversation with her.

That makes me feel a bit sick. I know they’re both adults, and when I was 19 there were older men that I was attracted to, but I think it would’ve put me off if they actually tried to be in a relationship with me there’s just something really seedy about it.

'Most' 'non famous' actors are not gay. Where do you get that from?

I assume that poster meant that most gay actors are not famous, not that most non-famous actors are gay.

Rupert Everett plays gay men. Ian McKellen plays Wizards. No one knows Richard Armitage is gay and Luke Evans isn't that famous. Might be if he pretended to be straight. Plus these are the UK people. USA is way worse for homophobia.

Fair enough! I can accept that me getting together with a leading actor is already an unrealistic fantasy and can extend that fantasy further if necessary to make him heterosexual if he isn’t already 😂
But guess that doesn’t apply to all
women - at least Hollywood mustn’t think so!

Pretty sure that Richard Armitage is gay but as far as I know, he's still not out and if he was in a relationship with Lee Pace, it's been over for ages.

Luke Evans otoh, came out, went back in then came out again.

Because he doesn't like the fact he's gay so doesn't want to publicly admit it. Because the press attention would be overwhelming. There could be so many reasons.

He may not even be gay. He might be bisexual. He might just be a sleazy straight bloke who likes a succession of very young identikit beauties.

He's not in if we all know he went out with Lee Pace. I think it's weird gay men have to 'come out'. Surely not talking about your personal life, whether you're gay or bi or straight is fine.

I remember Ian McKellan accidentally outing Lee Pace who wasn't openly gay then.

I definitely think it's still (in America probably more than UK) a big thing to come out as gay and seen as career ending.

I can think of a few openly gay actors as mentioned above (and lovely Matt Bomer) but they are rarely cast as leading men. I can't think of any at least!

It’s not that the US is homophobic, it’s that Hollywood is misogynistic. Look at all the crap with Weinstein and how young women are openly treated if they want to make it. The same disgusting men that are sexually exploiting them are not going to cast gay men in leading roles or in any roles if they can help it. They look down on them for being gay and also don’t trust them to keep shut about any of the seedier stuff going on.

No-one really knows his reason why, its all speculation.

Seems like he only dates people for 1-3yrs then it ends so maybe he just likes the 'honeymoon' phase. Maybe he doesn't want anything serious.

It doesn't bother me and I don't think its disgusting if two adults are consenting that's their choice

But we don't know that for definite. Neither of them confirmed it. They hung out a lot and the rumour mill started. Men apparently aren't allowed to have close male friends and if they do, they must be dating.

Of course it is, but the nature of their industry means that their personal life is going to be discussed. A lot of actors/famous people purposely don't talk about who they're dating because it creates more buzz.

Or here is one to consider... he definitely doesn't want kids. Whats the point in dating someone who definitely does. That certainly narrows down a large proportion of people to date particularly from 25yr + when majority of women want to start finding their 'life partner' with the aim of settling down to have a family.

Sure he could date women who are close to his age and don't want kids but maybe they have kids themselves maybe he doesn't even want to date someone who has kids.

Again who knows but there are so many reasons that could be possible.

It's grim because she's SO young, but it's the same sort of age gap that our own beloved Hmm Michael Sheen has with his wife, not to mention Jeff Goldblum. And did I say Nick Knowles?

I can't help but wonder what the friends of these men secretly think about them? I know my dh and his peers would find it incredibly ick if one of their friends suddenly started dating someone 20+ years younger.
