What's for lunch?

I've just had scrambled eggs on toast with lots of butter and a generous squirt of ketchup. It must be years and years since I ate that and it was glorious!

I enjoyed my lunch so much that I'm wondering what you lot are having today so I can enjoy lunch again through you!

Oh that sounds lovely, I might have scrambled eggs tomorrow.
I’ve just had a big tuna salad and it was delicious! Usually alternate between a tuna / ham / turkey salad or the same in a wrap.

Last week I made scrambled eggs on toast for the first time in years and I'd forgotten how lovely (and simple!) that meal is.

Today I had a toasted bagel topped with mashed avocado, spring onion and black olives. A sprinkle of sea salt and a bit of sweet chilli sauce. It was heavenly!

Nice crusty bread, good salted butter and salt and vinegar crisps. Oh, and a satsuma 😀

I normally have a salad for lunch too! Ham, tuna, egg or cheese. With a sprinkle of mixed seeds for some crunch.

Crumpets. You can't go wrong with a crumpet. Lots of butter and some cheese too!

I know this is not in AIBU but I'm afraid YABU for having leftover chinese for lunch. Everyone knows that's for breakfast and served cold! 😋

A bagel? Hmmmm, never got on with those but I'm tempted now because yours sounds very tasty!

Cherry tomatoes, a mini sweet pepper, cucumber, olives, chorizo, ham, homemade mackerel pate.

One twin wants noodles, the other is willing to have fried egg and bacon on toast which is what DH wants - I just get to cook it all!!

Sausage, egg and cheese muffin. A fakeaway mcds basically. I've never actually had a mcds one I'm not keen on egg yolk on its own so I make my egg part as an omelette. So once it's ready I then stick in the air fryer to make the muffin warm and the cheese melt in, yummy!

A crisp sandwich! Yum! But salt and vinegar? You can keep it! If it was Quavers packed inside then I'd snatch it off you!

Soup, always a classic. I've not had minestone for ages. Must add it to my shopping list. Along with quavers and more eggs!

Like the sound of tomatoes and cucumber and bits. Something you could have already prepared in the fridge and throw it on a plate. More things to add to the list...

Since retiring we have a main meal at lunchtime and a lunch sized meal at tea time.

We've just had home made chips, spicy quorn burger in rolls bought from the boulangerie, with small feta and cucumber and tomato salad, fried onions and in the burger we had pickled cucumber and mayo.

It was bloody gorgeous.

We often have scrambled egg on buttered toast with ketchup for a late breakfast or a tea. It is a regular favourite round here.

I’m on my own today so I had my own vegetarian version of Welsh rarebit with caramelised onion chutney and a mug of hot chocolate.

Just coffee for me. Not even my usual decaffeinated. Found some normal coffee in the back of a cupboard. We have absolutely nothing in and tesco not coming until 9/10pm tonight 😪
