I've just had scrambled eggs on toast with lots of butter and a generous squirt of ketchup. It must be years and years since I ate that and it was glorious!

I enjoyed my lunch so much that I'm wondering what you lot are having today so I can enjoy lunch again through you!

seeded, lightly toasted and spread with Mayo.

Homemade Sweet potato and red pepper soup and a crispy roll. After looking at my duet last week (with a woeful fruit/veg count) I’m trying to be more mindful of what I’m eating. Made a good pot of soup for lunches this week.

HeyMicky · 30/01/2023 13:33

Poached chicken breast, leftover cabbage slaw, leftover green beans, boiled egg, cottage cheese. Bit of a fridge raid

Left over chinese from saturday night.
sweet and sour chicken balls and egg fried rice, it was delicious

Left over Chinese here too. Snap on the sweet and sour chicken balls, but with satay chicken and loads of prawn crackers. We got 2 bags this time (both free) for some reason, brilliant.

Some mushroom soup with gouda on toast. DP arrived home with a kg of gouda last week (long story) so I'm having it with every meal 😂 didn't know if it would melt on toast but actually melted really well and was delicious! Had the cheese on toast with some gherkins too 😋

Oh the soup sounds good! I had sweet potatoes and no use for them so I know what I’m making with them now. Thanks!

It's Monday, and so it's left over Chicken from the roast yesterday, in the slow cooker, stripped from the carcass to make soup. We had leftover veg too so that went in. With crusty bread.
Lush.

Greengreented · 30/01/2023 13:40

Leftover cooked chicken for me, and some cheese and red onion kettle chips. We’re having scrambled eggs with some smoked salmon on buttered toast tonight for tea. I wish I had leftover Chinese takeaway to have for lunch! 😀

Floralnomad · 30/01/2023 13:42

I had a M&S cheese hot cross bun with ham in which I shared with the dog , we both enjoyed it .

ANewDayDawned · 30/01/2023 13:42

I had something not had for years too, sardines on toast! Mixed with capers and grilled on toast on top of a layer of guacamole, with some tomato salsa on top too. Lots of seasoning, some chilli and a splash of lemon juice. It was so nice

tellmewhentheLangshiplandscoz · 30/01/2023 13:43

Crisp sandwich.

Nice crusty bread, good salted butter and salt and vinegar crisps. Oh, and a satsuma 😀

I love a crisp sandwich with a piece of fruit!

You’re very welcome, I chuck in a carrot or two, some red onion and tomato purée and feel positively saintly while bathing in the glow of anti-oxidants and carotene.

Just coffee for me. Not even my usual decaffeinated. Found some normal coffee in the back of a cupboard. We have absolutely nothing in and tesco not coming until 9/10pm tonight 😪

That sounds really tough.

When you say you have nothing in, do you mean no food at all? Do you just buy the exact amount for the week/fortnight?

SandrasAnnoyingFriend · 30/01/2023 14:19

Leek and potato soup I made yesterday, it's a particularly good one, even if I do say so myself.
Had a side salad with tomatoes and avocado and then a handful of grapes.
