Starbucks or Costa?

Which do you prefer?

I like Costa's coffee but Starbucks for food!!

I know I actually wrote a letter of complaint to Coasta about it. I get that vegan products are required but should be a choice to the people who don't want the vegan options, not forced onto them. how much of the population are vegan overall ? the girls in my local one said that loads if people have complained about them but head office won't do anything my independent coffee shop doesn't do nice hot chocolate either. and an FYI to coffee shops who supply hot chocolate small tiny marshmallows do not work

Starbucks, every time.

Costa charge extra for any dairy alternative that isn't soy, and have now dropped almond milk altogether. Not okay.
Costa serve pink hot chocolate that used to be outrageously delicious but now resembles pink bathwater that has been left to go cold in a teenager's socks. Not okay.
Costa once sold me a gingerbread latte that they had forgotten to put any actual coffee in. Definitely not okay.

Also - light dairy swirl? No, Costa. Go away with your light dairy swirl.

Neither, both overpriced rubbish. Nero is much nicer imo.

Costa for their hot chocolate.

Loathe Starbucks. Nero for me Costa at a pinch.

Costa's entire brand is just so dismal...that dark burgundy, there's no accent colours, their Christmas cups were shit. The whole Costa experience is just sad. No wonder teenagers don't want to set foot in it.

Neither; I prefer independent cafés and tea rooms. Starbucks tea is awful as well.

If I have to choose it would be Costa, however Coffee 1 is my favourite chain. Good strong coffee and nice decor. My real issue are the super sweet cakes all these places sell. I love cake, but they are all far too overly sweet to enjoy. The shortbread in Coffee 1 was lovely, but the last time I went in they had changed suppliers. 😭
