HELP. I'm 31 years old, what trainers should I be wearing?

Just this really. I want some new trainers for the school run etc and I'm suddenly feeling quite old. I'm drawn to the more fashionable ones but I don't really dress to suit them. If I was 10 years younger than maybe, but I don't want to drop £120 on a pair I like but look like I'm trying too hard to cling on to my youth 😅
Am I overthinking this?
What age appropriate trainers/brands should I be looking for that are a happy medium between young and carefree and boomer??

You are not old. I am 43 and I don’t think I am old. I wear whatever trainers I like. I still wear adidas like I did at 15 when I was (and am still into), Britpop.

No one is looking at what you wear anywhere on your body, they are too wrapped up in themselves to notice.

You're 31, Not old. There isn't a set rule for what trainers are allowed for certain ages. I'm 35. I wear Converse, Vans, Gazelles, Nike, New Balance and Veja.

Trainers are just .......... trainers. Who cares as long as they fit? Are the trainer police looking at all our feet now? I am 72, am I only allowed to wear slippers?
Do people judge others on what they have on their feet?

Just wear what you enjoy wearing. Don’t look at your age as a factor.

I’m 51 and just ordered some New Balance 373. They were the most uncomfortable things I’ve ever put on my feet though, so I sent them back.

I have white Converse and the rest are Adidas Superstars, Gazelles and Stan Smith's. All in white.

I'm 40 not 30 I have a pair of Nike dunk lows and Nike blazers high tops at the moment. Couldn't give a fuck about what I should wear!

I wear New Balance 574. Because they are comfy and because I can get them in Velcro (my laces always used to come undone)! Also I can buy kid sizes which makes them cheaper.

Honestly we're not offended. We just worry about younger women fretting about aging. Sometimes the world seems to have gone mad with the pressure women feel.

I’m 30 and my faves atm are a pair of white and green Stan smiths although I also wear cons, vans and adidas superstars in black and white.

I don't think anyone felt offended, it's just shocking that women feel too old at the age of 31 to do certain things. Wear and do whatever you want. Enjoy that you live in (relatively) judgmental-free country (I'm not from the UK, so I know what I'm saying 😂).

I can honestly say that in 10years of school runs the only time I noticed another parents footwear was the parent who came to DS1s primary in stripper heels and they were spectacular so you couldn't miss them (or the rest of her inappropriate outfit)

I tend to wear black ASICS because they are comfortable with my dodgy feet (RA joint damage) and I wear them all day, they are black and tend to be a bit non so I don't think about them much.

I'm 55 years old and wear HOKA trainers. I also still highlight my hair and keep it just below my shoulders.

Someone told me that I was too old for long hair and to be that bothered about my appearance/fashion.

I say bollocks to that. I wear what I want, have my hair how I want and will not allow anyone to tell me what I should be wearing according to my age.

If the trainers you want are comfy and you like them, fuck what anyone else thinks.❤️

Chanel ones I recently bought a pair ….they are sooo comfortable and had great cushioning.
