Apparently it was a special song between Miley and Liam Hemsworth during their marriage and this is her revenge song.

He dedicated the Bruno Mars sing flowers to her when they got married so she is responding to that.
The house in the video os the one he rented to take women to to cheat on her.
The exercise routine she does in the video is his.
The suit she wears to fabulously dance in at the end is his too.

Oooo I've not seen the video yet, but heard the song on the radio this week and loved it, even without knowing the back story. Such empowering lyrics.... sounds silly, but I bought myself a bunch of flowers this week just because!

Miley has matured beautifully. She made some iffy decisions at the beginning of her adult career but she is very talented.

the Bruno Mars song was supposedly one Liam dedicated to her at their wedding. It’s a break up / heartbreak song. No one would play that at their wedding or during their relationship.

the cheating 14 times/ house but came from a gossip eZine a few months ago. Literally out of nowhere and with no corroboration, which is odd considering it’s an oddly specific number and what did he do, literally invite 14 women over for a weekend? Anyway it’s now taken as fact.

Miley herself said they didn’t end over cheating and that she’ll always love him but they don’t belong together so why would she need to suddenly get ‘revenge’?

The gold dress and swimming pool dive at the start of the video is also supposedly a nod to Jennifer Lawrence who admitted to kidding Liam Hemsworth while he was still married, she wore a very similar gold dress to a premiere and did the same dive in her perfume advert.

liam and Jennifer Lawrence were rumoured to like each other while filming the hunger games and he was single, there was suggestion they were together while promoting it in Australia. Then Miley flew over and suddenly they were publically back together back together.

It’s just lots of half stories and PR placed rumours to make a good song even more hyped on social media
