How is it a cover? It isn't a cover any more than any song that contains a sample. A cover is another artist singing the same song.

It’s clearly not a cover, doesn’t even sample it, no credits to Bruno mars on it. Simply a thematic response song which have been around since the 50’s.

Miley is fab but this song just drones after hearing it over and over.
I think it is a really middle of the road boring song. I love her other songs though.

I love it. I also loved her as Hannah Montana. Thought she got a bit loopy with the twerking and wrecking ball stuff but she seems to be fabulous again now. Good on her.
