Anyone else obsessed with Miley Cyrus' Flowers

The song is great but the ‘chat’ about it is just clever PR and marketing.

the Bruno Mars song was supposedly one Liam dedicated to her at their wedding. It’s a break up / heartbreak song. No one would play that at their wedding or during their relationship.

the cheating 14 times/ house but came from a gossip eZine a few months ago. Literally out of nowhere and with no corroboration, which is odd considering it’s an oddly specific number and what did he do, literally invite 14 women over for a weekend? Anyway it’s now taken as fact.

Miley herself said they didn’t end over cheating and that she’ll always love him but they don’t belong together so why would she need to suddenly get ‘revenge’?

it’s just clever spin. The people all over Instagram seemingly stating it all as facts are strange and easily influenced (the irony 😆)

I really like Miley these days, her last few songs have been bangers and she is a real rock chick - one of the few who can pull off a mullet - and sounds a little like Stevie Nicks. The song is really empowering and suits her style.

Love it but find it quite sad personally. My dd2 was dating a guy for nearly two years. I couldn't take to him and began to intensely dislike him. He was constantly putting her down but was very subtle until the day he told me that he was far more intelligent than DD but she worked harder which is why she got better results. That the only reason she got a scholarship they both went for was because she was female. Her school and college results were way ahead of his. He nearly destroyed my beautiful, lively, hard working, ambitious girl. Talking to her one day she said that all she wanted was for him to buy her flowers but his response was that they were a waste of money. I told her that she can buy her own flowers that she didn't need him that she was independent. Thankfully she woke up and realised how detrimental he was to her mental health and ditched him. It's taking her time to recover. She has met someone else who is a sweetheart and buys her flowers on a regular basis. We belt out Flowers when shes having a bad day

I like Miley. She got so much shit both during and after being with Liam because he’s so handsome and seems so wholesome and she was a bit of a wild child for a while there. Everyone talked about how HE had a lucky escape…

Also, she has a NYE special with Dolly Parton and they did a mash up of Wrecking Ball and I Will Always Love You. When you get chance watch it on YouTube, it is AMAZING and made me cry 😂

It’s a more enlightened modern day take. Less focused on anger and hatred and revenge and more on self growth and self esteem. She had ‘no remorse, no regrets, forgives every word you said’.

it’s grown up. Things end, pick yourself up and own your life, don’t worry about your ex, cause you can do anything. I love the message.

I think it's far from bitter and a great reminder that you can do things for yourself and be more than happy with it.

Apparently it was a special song between Miley and Liam Hemsworth during their marriage and this is her revenge song.

I love it, love her, love the video.

The woman in I Will Survive is angry and bitter but I can see her taking him back and doing it all again. The woman in Flowers won't because she's calmly over him.
