What tog duvet are you using at the moment ?

OP posts:

7.5 duck feather and down with an extra fleece tucked under on me. My husband is permanently hot in bed. I'd be very comfortable with a 14th all year round.

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 20/01/2023 20:11

9.5 with a summer 4 on top and a hot water bottle. Used that during the December cold snap and before that I can't remember the last time I needed both duvets, it's usually the 9.5 with a blanket over the bottom of the bed.

MrsMoastyToasty · 20/01/2023 20:15

10.5 tog plus Toasty Girl Cat or Toasty Boy Cat to pre-warm the bed(and take up the middle of the bed ).

LuluBlakey1 · 20/01/2023 20:19

4.5 tog - made of shredded recycled plastic bottles- and DH (who radiates heat).

LT2 · 20/01/2023 20:22

13.5

TheOrigRights · 20/01/2023 20:22

Have you all just checked the label or do you know?
I have no idea what mine is. I use the same all year round. It's thick!

User963 · 20/01/2023 20:27

I think you should add another question about what people wear in bed.
I have a 9.5 tog and a blanket but wear very warm nightwear. If I was sleeping naked or in something skimpy (both of which I don’t do) I would need a much warmer duvet.
I have an electric blanket but just to warm the sheets before I get in.

I just know. Mine is all season with a 9 and 4.5 that join together. I always buy them as like to be able to vary the thickness easily without having too much to store.

BebbanburgIsMine · 20/01/2023 20:44

16.5 with an electric mattress cover.

I don't like being cold, My cat likes to cuddle up beside me too, he's a little furry heater!

Blossomtoes · 20/01/2023 21:06

10.5 with an electric blanket and a husband like a furnace.

Happygone · 20/01/2023 21:16

I have 1x9tog, 1x 13tog and 2 fleece blankets. I like to be warm at night!
I have been known to throw another 9tog on when especially cold.

Pascha · 20/01/2023 21:45

9 with a throw on the bottom half. In the summer we just remove the throw.
