apart from those 3 things, it is a nice house and it is nicely decorated.

I saw the shower first & thought “oh, if you’re not careful the duvet could end up getting wet, how strange”. Then I saw the loo. Words fail me.

It’s totally normal new estate house until you get to the master bedroom. What are these people thinking?

Totally fine, and then wham mental image of watching someone have a poo.

Sometimes when my ddog wees in the garden he stares at me while he does it, it's pretty uncomfortable.

I'm trying to imagine my DH doing that in the bedroom (en) suite. It is no less uncomfortable.

I reckon you could put a door there. It would cover up a bit of modesty

I certainly wouldn't want to be in a bedroom with an open bathroom but in a house you were buying it would be quite easy to block this into a separate room .

This has reminded me of how my friend's house growing up had a toilet at the top of the stairs, coming off a communal seating area.

The toilet just randomly had no door.

Her parents had built the house so I've never been completely sure why they were capable of building an entire four bedroom house which doors to every room, but stopped short of putting a door on the toilet.

When they were teens the hung up a kind of batique sarong thing to cover the door.

But obviously it did nothing to block out the sounds. Or the smell.

That is a beautiful house but why have the loo facing the bed like that in the master bedroom!
