The first time I saw a glass-fronted en suite was back in 2010! We were house-hunting, went to view what looked like a really promising property which had been recently renovated... and bam! We were rendered totally speechless, was really embarrassing because the homeowner was the one showing us around. Obviously DH and I were a lot younger and more attractive then, but we still wouldn't have wanted to see each other on the loo
However, I do agree that the HelloWorldWatchMePoo bathroom seems to have become more and more popular for some reason. It's even filtered down to cheaper hotels in various parts of the world. I'm going home to visit my elderly parents and we wanted to do a little budget* road trip, so I've been searching for hotels with family rooms - and had to eliminate several otherwise good options because they have glass-walled bathrooms. I mean, WTF, a multiple-sleeper room is almost always going to consist of a multi-generational family or a group of friends!
*My parents have a very budget idea of budget, the happy ending is that I overruled them because I'm paying and booked two rooms in a much naicer hotel.
