Oh hell no. I have ulcerative colitis and I don’t wanna be crapping I front of a partner. I like my toliet time 🤣

Another example, 4th bedroom combo bathroom. Given the cost and presume it's a bespoke house you think they would have designed a proper ensuite

That's not even an ensuite - that is literally a bed put in the bathroom!

That whole house is just odd. But pic 33 is a whole other level. I’m bad in the mornings. That would solve it, roll out of bed, straight into the bath. WTAF!
I can’t even contemplate rolling over and seeing someone on the loo 🫣 (that really is the stuff of nightmares)

“All bathrooms and bedrooms designed differently to give you a real variety ranging from ultra-modern, extremely quirky”
Estate agent bollocks blurb
Yeah - no shit.

toomuchlaundry · 20/01/2023 00:39

Having to use a loo without a door is a stress dream for me. Would be a nightmare coming true to live in any of these houses

With my irritable bowel, I don't even want to be in my room when I'm having a poo...
Heaven forbid subjecting my partner to it while he's watching Breakfast news in bed!

I want that house, bed/bath combo wtf and all.
I bet it’s a bastard to heat, though.

Soaking my cares awayGrin

I thought they had written “snarky” over their bath to start with….

I bed somebody has rolled over and fallen into the bath at least once since that house was built Grin

(Would be a weekly occurrence if we lived there)

tolerable · 20/01/2023 02:10

is the front house same back house?

dudsville · 20/01/2023 02:26

VerityUnreasonble · 19/01/2023 19:39

Sometimes when my ddog wees in the garden he stares at me while he does it, it's pretty uncomfortable.

I'm trying to imagine my DH doing that in the bedroom (en) suite. It is no less uncomfortable.

I thought this too, also wouldn't want to accidentally make eye digest during a push!

FromEden · 20/01/2023 02:36

Is it carpeted all around the toilet too? Everything about it is wrong 🤢

MarieKlepto · 20/01/2023 02:59

Oh, heavens, yes. It is carpeted @FromEden There's a little bit of me that thinks oooh, nice and warm and comfy then my rational brain kicks in and thinks smelly, unhygenic, rank, it's not 1968, and how the hell do you keep that clean.

Notarealmum · 20/01/2023 04:21

We looked at a property recently that had three en suites. - all of which were open to the bedroom!!

Frosted glass would be helpful in some of these houses linked….

Kucinghitam · 20/01/2023 05:40

The first time I saw a glass-fronted en suite was back in 2010! We were house-hunting, went to view what looked like a really promising property which had been recently renovated... and bam! We were rendered totally speechless, was really embarrassing because the homeowner was the one showing us around. Obviously DH and I were a lot younger and more attractive then, but we still wouldn't have wanted to see each other on the loo Blush

However, I do agree that the HelloWorldWatchMePoo bathroom seems to have become more and more popular for some reason. It's even filtered down to cheaper hotels in various parts of the world. I'm going home to visit my elderly parents and we wanted to do a little budget* road trip, so I've been searching for hotels with family rooms - and had to eliminate several otherwise good options because they have glass-walled bathrooms. I mean, WTF, a multiple-sleeper room is almost always going to consist of a multi-generational family or a group of friends!

*My parents have a very budget idea of budget, the happy ending is that I overruled them because I'm paying and booked two rooms in a much naicer hotel.

Here's another. Check out picture 12.

The loo is right at the top of the stairs!!!

www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/128297093#/?channel=RES_BUY

I don't think I could shower, hovering over the stairs like that. It doesn't seem very stable.

I stayed in a B&B once for a romantic weekend away with an open-plan loo.

Obvs the photos in the listing just showed the lovely roll top bath in the bedroom, NOT the loo completely exposed on the opposite wall...

Needless to say it was not romantic in the slightest :(

It had recently been refurbed and refitted, all very lovely and expensive. Tons of floor space. No reason on god's earth why they couldn't have stuck the loo in a little room with a door...

I think it must be a fetish thing.

I stayed in one like this too! Posh and supposedly romantic. Couldn't believe the toilet situation.
