Do you prefer coffee or tea?

I just read a thread about how much coffee people drink and lots of posters said 3, 4 or 5 coffees in a day! I only occasionally drink coffee if I am meeting a friend and I don’t even enjoy it tbh.

At home I would always drink a cup of tea in the morning and maybe one in the afternoon and it’s water the rest of the time.

Are you a coffee or tea person?

Iced coffee over hot coffee. I would never drink tea, the smell alone is awful.

boobot1 · 14/01/2023 21:15

Tea always, I like the smell of coffee, but not the taste.

NothingButSpace · 14/01/2023 21:17

I can’t smell tea!

Tea
I can’t bear coffee. I quite like the smell of it but hate the taste.
I have high BP so drink decaf tea and decaf pepsi

ButtonMoonMrsSpoon · 14/01/2023 21:18

I can't function without tea

PinkBuffalo · 14/01/2023 21:18

Coffee ☕️

BCBird · 14/01/2023 21:19

Tea. Love the smell of coffee but not the taste

Gronkle · 14/01/2023 21:19

Neither, both are gross. Tea makes me gag but I just don't like coffee. So I guess I prefer coffee, lol

jazzybelle · 14/01/2023 21:19

Tea.

Jellykat · 14/01/2023 21:21

I drink tea, love coffee but had to give it up as it gives me horrific palpitations and the shakes these days! Will have a decaf if i get a takeout at work.

ThePoshUns · 14/01/2023 21:21

Tea. Could give up coffee but not tea.

TheFormidableMrsC · 14/01/2023 21:23

I have tea with two sugars first thing. Then two, sometimes three coffees with milk but no sugar. Then water. After lunch and later in the afternoon I have tea with half a sugar and then change to decaf at about 5 pm. I also like green and fruit teas. Typing that out makes my tea drinking seem complicated 😆

LubaLuca · 14/01/2023 21:24

I drink tea more at home because I prefer it, but coffee more when I'm anywhere else. I can drink coffee in any form, but I'm very particular about how tea is made.

So as long as either I or someone I've trained is making the tea then I'd be happier only drinking tea forevermore.

ofwarren · 14/01/2023 21:24

I love coffee but unfortunately my chronic gastritis hates both tea and coffee Sad

Michaelmonstera · 14/01/2023 21:26

A pot of tea in the morning then coffee during the day.

IntentionalError · 14/01/2023 21:26

I like tea (Yorkshire red being my preferred brew) and real coffee, which I make using a bean grinder and a stainless steel cafetière.

I do not drink instant coffee, which is unfit for human consumption.

XenoBitch · 14/01/2023 21:27

I live off of tea. I can stomach one coffee a day. Any more than that, and I feel really panicky.

Moomoomeemee · 14/01/2023 21:27

Both have their charms. I love tea but I would always order a coffee if I'm out as I don't enjoy making it, but do enjoy drinking the good stuff

NothingButSpace · 14/01/2023 21:28

I also get a bit jittery after a strong coffee. I find that if I go to Costa coffee. I can’t drink instant coffee at all as it tastes really bitter.

I dont drink tea at all, just the smell of it makes me gag. I have 2 coffees in the morning, sometimes one in the afternoon and the rest of the time squash or water. Occasionally I have a glass of milk.

AllThingsServeTheBeam · 14/01/2023 21:31

Tea. I like the occasional coffee, but couldn't have a day without a cup of tea

I can't stand the smell of coffee. Also don't like the smell of petrol or permanent markers etc. I'm weird.

So definitely tea here.

PourOnTheHeat · 14/01/2023 21:34

I have 2/3 cups of tea most days. I haven’t had coffee in about 10 years. I mainly drink water.

Teaseall · 14/01/2023 21:40

Both.

Coffee first thing to allow me to speak & semi function, 2nd cup about half hour later to get me moving (internally & externally Grin) 3rd and occasionally 4th cup for pleasure. Don't drink it after midday.

Lunchtime I have water or fruit juice.

Afternoon is tea time, again up to 4 cups.

Evenings are either water, tonic water or wine Wink

NeverDropYourMooncup · 14/01/2023 21:43

Both. I don't drink tea at work, as my head is all squiggly without coffee to make it slow down enough to be able to think speak coherently, but once I get home, I'll have tea through the evening. Other than that, I drink ice cold water.
