On my own, nursing a glass of wine while I wait for the kids to finish an activity.

It's bloody lovely, time for me to scroll mn and not think about anything else and £2.99 for a glass of wine. I had to double check he had the right price at the bar.

Lots of people on their own too.

I think it’s awesome in that you don’t get overcharged, I’ve had much worse food at three times the price in other pubs, and it’s £4 for a double bombay saph and tonic, whereas the pub next door charges £11.50.
there’s no pretence it is fine dining but it is good value and if you have a decent one locally that’s good, as they aren’t all equal.

I like the plates, its nice to get your food on plates instead of chopping boards and little buckets

The one in Whitstable is lovely - it's an old Art Deco cinema.

Wethers is awesome, i always order a burger or mixed grill and customise it on the app. I don't bother with most things because they are microwave meal.

Don't listen to the ignoramuses that speak negatively about Tim. He's like many disliked people - Plebs/The media propagate crap and unfortunately it sticks.

Do you own objective research and come to your own conclusions.

Ah poppet - it doesn't take much 'research' to realise that 'Tim' is a cunt. Continue to appreciate his cheap booze by all means; but don't fool yourself about where the cost actually kicks in.

Love my local spoons, double rum and mixer only £3.59, and two huge cocktail pitchers for £12, what's not to like 😋...
Although gutted when they took off long island iced tea .... But replaced it with Zombie, so not all bad 😋🙏

My local Wetherspoons is a bit manky but its warm, kinda pleasant and always has a lot in. Especially those alone.

if they are warm, happy and with company having endless refills of coffee for 99p who cares!

shinynewapple22 · 22/01/2023 11:32

I agree @CeriB82 - mine is a bit manky too - but I feel serves as a bit of a community hub as all sorts go in there - particularly during the day time .

I too love a spoons, their pizza is lovely and it’s the starting place for a night out with friends can’t beat their cheap cocktail jugs!
