It's an media engineered parasitic side show who's importance is over inflated to placate the masses (smile peasants here's a jubilee concert) or deflect from real issues (ooh look at what Harry has done) while the country is on its arse.

I’d hazard a guess it’s because Rishi’s speech the other day was frankly frightening, and went down like a lead balloon. On social media outlets he’s been likened from everything from Will from the inbetweeners, to a jackanory reader. Out of touch, patronising, more broken promises , and no real solutions.
If we allow the media to let rip on this, we’d have a Liz Truss 2.0 situation and an avalanche of demands for a general election NOW.

I think it makes total sense to post this question here and not the royal topic because the people who aren't interested in the royals will have the topic hidden, and your question relates to why the royals are frontline news constantly in the media, not on MN, which is an internet forum. I'm very fed up of this too. My guess is that it's to distract from the many things that are going wrong in this country at the moment. The worse the UK is the doing the more we'll be hearing and reading about the royals probably.
