4yo and 3yo here, both still very asleep by the looks of it. I'm sitting in bed enjoying the peace before the chaos.

Merry Christmas everyone!

I’ve just been for a wee and I must admit I’m pretty sad it didn’t seem to stir my 5 year old!

35965a · 25/12/2022 06:36

Everyone is asleep, I kept waking up and now I can’t sleep! I’m too excited, I am worse the children.

HippyChickMama · 25/12/2022 06:37

I've been awake since 5, dh has been unwell and I was woken by him snoring, coughing and being generally restless. Everyone else is fast asleep, even ds(15) who never, ever sleeps past 7am.

Mine are 7 and 10 and still asleep. I’m bored and hungry. Just want to get a start on the day. I love Christmas.

listsandbudgets · 25/12/2022 06:41

Yes, puppy woke me as usual at 5.45am. Feeling very excited but no sign yet of DS (10) our Ukrainian guest (14) or DD (17)

Pillowcases all filled and waiting outside their room

Stickmansmum · 25/12/2022 06:42

Waiting…. Kids are 9, 8, 7, 5

Emelene · 25/12/2022 06:43

My 2 year old just cried and asked to come downstairs, but he did so lying down with his eyes closed 😂 … I’ve done my best, shushed and patted him back to sleep even though I’m itching to get up! But my little one will be cranky if he doesn’t get enough sleep and we’ve got lots of family to see today.

junipermarten · 25/12/2022 06:45

I'm waiting too, I've been awake for 1.5 hours. Wish the kids would wake up!! DH is the WORST. It always takes us ages to wake him and actually get him up on Xmas morning. Bah humbug! I'm looking forward to my mid-morning nap already 😴

AuntieStella · 25/12/2022 06:48

Yes, mine are older and it may be some time until they at large!

Really good to have everyone under one roof

And just a bit of time to drink coffee in peace and wish everyone here Merry Christmas

Yes! Baby in bed with us, dh snoozing, waiting for dc1 to wake up! Too excited to go back to sleep.

May go downstairs in a minute and turn all the lights on ready and make dh and I a tea.

Merry Christmas!

closingscore · 25/12/2022 07:00

Yeah but my two were at the pub til 11.30 last night and came in very merry so I could be waiting a while 😂

Railwayroad · 25/12/2022 07:03

Mine are teens so won’t be up for ages. I remember 5am starts when they were little though. Awwww.

MumGoneMild · 25/12/2022 07:06

Me and the 12 year old are sat waiting for his dad and 20 year brother to appear.
They've got until 8 then the 12 year old will be unleashed

ThisIsTrifficult · 25/12/2022 07:08

My 6yo DD has been manic in the lead up to Christmas. Went down fairly easily last night and is still sleeping!
Her 3yo sister is awake and in bed with us watching cbeebies, completely oblivious to the stocking in front of her.
Needed a silent night like that! Merry Christmas all!

CrackersCheeseAndWinePlease · 25/12/2022 07:10

I'm the only one up in my house. Kids are 18, 15 and 7 and are all fast asleep as is DH. Even the dogs asleep! Come on people get up it's christmasssss!

HelloDaisy · 25/12/2022 07:13

Mine are 16 and 19 so I’m waiting for them to get up although dd has just text me to say Happy Christmas!

I remember being woken up at ridiculously early hours when they were little to see if Father Christmas had been, missing those days now as I’m in bed with covid 😭.

ForeverTeach · 25/12/2022 07:15

Me and my youngest are up at our yard to see our horse. Rest of the house, 1 teen, adult child and husband are still asleep 😁 Merry Christmas everyone!

Hellocatshome · 25/12/2022 07:17

I'm the only one up but the kids are 15 and 12. I've been downstairs for a wee stood in a puddle of wee on the bathroom floor (possibly the dog, a cat or a sleepwalking child), cleaned up a dead mouse from the kitchen floor (definitely a cat) and turned the Christmas tree lights on. Now as I have 'the bug' and every breath is torture I am back in bed waiting for someone to wake up so we can start our day.

elephantsbreafh · 25/12/2022 07:18

My wee one is 18 months and mostly oblivious to it all, but I’ve still been awake half the night out of excitement and up since 6 waiting for them to wake up!

MonkeyPuddle · 25/12/2022 07:19

Me and DP woke at 6, both kids out cold so we’ve had a shag. That’s DPs present sorted!!
Can hear next doors children happily shrieking through the walls. It’s lovely.

ChristmasSparkleTastic · 25/12/2022 07:24

Aw sat in bed with the dog and a cuppa. I can hear movement downstairs .... 🎄🎄🎄🎄

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 25/12/2022 07:27

2 year old has just woken up but thinks it's the middle of the night and is asking for her microwave hottie to be re-done and for some stories.
10mth old still fast asleep but has puked bright orange sick all over his cot during the night 😣

twistyizzy · 25/12/2022 07:29

Yep was up at 5am thanks to husband snoring 😡 so done the horse + walked the dog, laid the dining table, tidied the presents under the tree, wrapped presents for dog and now sat with strong coffee waiting for everyone to wake up! DD is now 11yrs old so I could be in for a long wait.

lynthesearesexpeople · 25/12/2022 07:30

My 8 urea old insisted she would be up at 6.

Still snoring!

Allmyarseandpeggymartin · 25/12/2022 07:32

Meeeeeeeeee!!

Dying for a coffee. Come on DS!
