Ironic given my current username. It was a Hotel Chocolat box, sent as a gift in the post. I am on a health kick at the moment and otherwise would not have had them in the house. I caved and ended up eating them all. 155g. Now feel sick. In my defence I have Covid (3rd time this year) and am feeling bored and fed up. I have also eaten veg today, so that's something I suppose.

Please share your similar episodes to make me feel better.

I finished yesterday’s massive salad today.

I had been planning on stretching it out to Sunday.

PurBal · 13/12/2022 23:09

Hotel Chocolat boxes are usually a one sitting affair. It’s only 155g, not even the equivalent of a full bar. You did the only sensible thing imo.

determinedtomakethiswork · 13/12/2022 23:11

That's only about five or six ounces! Give yourself a break!

The box said 14 chocolates and I ate them all. It's a lot, isn't it? My head is buzzing now but maybe it's the Covid...

Btw this is a light hearted thread, in case not clear!

I nearly ate a whole box of Maltesers once, suddenly realised and stopped myself just in time. One left in the box.

@Jellybean23 you must have willpower of steel!

Nah, it's not a lot. Smaller boxes of chocolates make you feel guiltier when you finish them, because you've eaten "the whole box". Much better to have a ginormous one, then you either physically can't finish it, or it feels more like an achievement if you do 😁

155g - about the equivalent of 3.5 dairy milk bars

uncomfortablydumb53 · 13/12/2022 23:27

I've just eaten 150g of Lindt, which isn't unusual for me
Don't feel like you've fallen off the healthy eating wagon.. If you enjoyed them, that's all that matters

BackOnTheBandWagon · 13/12/2022 23:27

(The tiny dairy milk bars)

KaleToChristmas · 13/12/2022 23:30

It was this box; www.hotelchocolat.com/uk/caramel-chocolate-box.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIhpn54t_3-wIVkNLtCh1FlgxKEAQYAyABEgIhv_D_BwE

Would recommend.

Ha! I do not have enough of a sense of achievement. Must try harder Xmas Grin

I'm also on a health kick but yesterday found a twix in the cupboard so ate that, then had a brownie after dinner and decided it was so good that I'd have another. Oh well.

Georgeskitchen · 14/12/2022 12:32

I once ate a whole Christmas cake.........

Anyone else feel sad for the leftover Malteser? I hope it wasn't long before you let it join the rest!

All joking aside OP if you are ill you need to nourish yourself properly. Go back to a normal "healthy diet for a few days. Your body needs the energy and fuel to get better. Hope you feel better soon.

Season0fTheWitch · 14/12/2022 12:57

When I had covid I ate a whole stuffed crust cheese pizza, most of a box of quality street and too many doritoes for dinner one night. No regrets, I was ravenous the whole week and only caved that one night.

AlwaysFullOfQuestions22 · 14/12/2022 14:20

I ate a single tray of Ferrero in about an hour last night. Whats there 20 in it.
Yes i felt sick. Will i learn not to do again? Probably not!

Mamette · 14/12/2022 14:26

I ate a while sharing packet of Minstrels in the cinema last Saturday, pretty much.

I felt surprisingly ok afterwards 👍

Urgi · 14/12/2022 14:51

You have to eat the whole box before the free calories run out. Free calories come about when:
(i) the box has been opened first time - you then have a day to consume the contents. Next day full calories resume
(ii) you are ill - calories are not absorbed in the same way (at all) and so are free
(iii) it is December. No December calories count - this extends to 3rd Janaury
(iv) You are having a crappy day at work - stress negates calories

Those are the rules. You must not break the rules.

Lightweight.

Come back when you’ve eaten a giant toblerone in under ten minutes, then we’ll talk.

Mammma91 · 14/12/2022 15:01

Have you seen those huge chocolate crispy orange dairy milk bars? Ones specially designed to share? I ate almost an entire one last night, and finished it this morning. It’s Christmas to be fair! I hope you enjoyed OP, hotel chocolat is phenomenal.

Bananadramallamas · 14/12/2022 15:02

Mmmmmm Toblerone. Have you had the orange and ginger one? 👌

This and raise you a pack of caramalised cashews to wash it down.
I can pack it away when I want.

It may have even given your metabolism a lick op.🤣
