Just ate a whole box of chocolates

Ironic given my current username. It was a Hotel Chocolat box, sent as a gift in the post. I am on a health kick at the moment and otherwise would not have had them in the house. I caved and ended up eating them all. 155g. Now feel sick. In my defence I have Covid (3rd time this year) and am feeling bored and fed up. I have also eaten veg today, so that's something I suppose.

Please share your similar episodes to make me feel better.

I ate half a box of Lindor truffles last night. It was cold and I was tired. And I put the wrappers in my pocket and thew them in the ensuite bathroom bin so that nobody else in the house would know. I don't think Santa's coming to me this year.

Lightweight.

Come back when you’ve eaten a giant toblerone in under ten minutes, then we’ll talk.

I was going to say similar
and as for the salad eater, now you’re just showing off 😅

Bananadramallamas · 14/12/2022 15:02

Mmmmmm Toblerone. Have you had the orange and ginger one? 👌

Yes! But my favourite is the new caramel one tastes like a giant caramac

HelloBunny · 14/12/2022 15:14

Sitting here spooning a tub of Percy Pig Icing into my face. It’s pure filth...

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 14/12/2022 15:20

@Urgi I like those rules. Worth remembering and sticking to (in my opinion).

Bluetrews25 · 14/12/2022 15:21

After eating too many dark Lindor balls once I was unable to sleep for HOURS and had a bounding heart due to the caffeine rush. (Not used to caffeine, in my defence). Hope you were able to sleep last night, OP?

Musthavebeenbadinapastlife · 14/12/2022 15:23

I just ate 130g of Sainsbury’s Belgian cooking chocolate I was so desperate 🤣

Penguinsmum · 14/12/2022 15:23

That's nothing to worry about. I once ate 9 wispa gold bars in one sitting!!! (In my defense I had just completed exactly one year without chocolate)!

LoverOfSushi · 14/12/2022 15:25

155g of chocolate is what I'd personally prescribe for covid (I am not a doctor, just a lover of coco)!

CheapWine · 14/12/2022 15:25

OP, chill.

I opened this on Sunday 😂 595g and I didn’t share many I’ll be honest. 🐷

Just starting on a pack of Tunnocks Caramel Logs. See you on the other side!

Haventhadaneggsinceeaster · 14/12/2022 15:29

I ate a tin of Quality Street I bought for Christmas over a period of 24 hours this week. Weight is 871g- not even bothered!🤭

MrsTumblebee · 14/12/2022 15:38

Once when pregnant I ate 9 cream eggs in one sitting.

My friend was very surprised to see a baby in the hospital cot and not a giant cream egg.

Wishimaywishimight · 14/12/2022 15:39

Wasn't there a thread recently where a poster claimed that ONE chocolate made her feel sick? 😅

newtb · 14/12/2022 15:39

Ate a whole box of Lindor salted caramel truffles. Thought they were disgusting after 2, but due to determination scoffed the lot.

Get off my thread.

😂

travailtotravel · 14/12/2022 15:58

I ate a christmas pudding last night and am looking around for other sugar laden things. I also should be channeling kale. Solidarity.

I nearly ate a whole box of Maltesers once, suddenly realised and stopped myself just in time. One left in the box.

This has reminded me that when I was breastfeeding my DS I ate a box of Maltesers A DAY. I had to have them. The craving was insane. I'd go round different shops to find the right boxes, because the pouches didn't seem the same somehow.

When he started on solid food the craving vanished and I don't think I've had a single Malteser since.

So weird.

Anyway, I eat 100g of milk chocolate now any night I'm not working. So about three nights a week.

catmothertes1 · 14/12/2022 16:18

155 g of chocolates? Amateur!

KaleToChristmas · 14/12/2022 19:52

Ha! This has made me laugh a lot. Highlights include the whole Christmas cake (impressive!) and not eating chocolate for a year (HOW??).

I see that the guilt is where I am going wrong. Unfortunately I don't have another box to try again tonight.

@Perkypigs42 thank you, I do agree with you. My health kick is largely inspired by having been so ill this year (3 x Covid, plus lots of other bugs). I did at least have the chocolates on top of plenty of healthy food. It's weird though, usually when I am ill I don't want to eat much at all, but I have noticed that Covid makes me really crave sweet things. Not ideal.

grapehyacinthisactuallyblue · 14/12/2022 19:55

You are ill, your body is fighting, needing more energy. I do have an urge occasionally, to eat whole lot of something. As long as it's not everyday, I don't think it does damage long term.

Today I’ve eaten a chocolate croissant, half a bar of dairy milk snowball chocolate, 5 miniature heroes, some chocolate fudge, a jam sandwich, chocolate spread and chicken curry. I do feel a bit sick of chocolate at this point mind
