I'm Doing a Morrisons Shop - What Should I Order?

Tollumi · 13/12/2022 21:00

I thought a nice, calming shopping thread was in order.

I never shop at Morrisons, but I'm doing a random order with them for one item. What's amazing at Morrisons that I should buy? What have I been missing? It's delivery btw, so got to be ordered online.

The aoili

HermioneWeasley · 13/12/2022 21:09

As others have recommended their best mince pies, I’ll recommend the best Yule log - it’s bloody amazing. If you like custard, their best custard is delicious too.

all their meat and fish is really good.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 13/12/2022 21:12

Lamb ribs
Orkney cheddar
Seabrook crisps

hartof · 13/12/2022 21:13

Salt and pepper bloomer

AbsoluteYawns · 13/12/2022 21:14

The fresh aoili in the yellow tub - not morrisons own but only they seem to stock it. Superb!

Pelo22 · 13/12/2022 21:14

Second the rectangular fruit scones
The beetroot bread if they have it, toasted with cream cheese
Chocolate chip shortbread (bakery section) and the cream muffins are good
Salt and pepper French stick
Actually just buy the whole bakery bit Grin

Fuckitydoodah · 13/12/2022 21:17

Their filled smoked haddock fishcakes are good and usually on offer for 2 packs for £5

Their fresh sourdough pizzas are good too.

ouch321 · 13/12/2022 21:21

Their premium yule log and stollen are excellent

Iknowhim · 13/12/2022 21:23

I bought a really nice red pepper tapenade from a tapas range but I suspect it's a summer range.

I really like their red onion bhajis too.

Bread is nice.

Tollumi · 13/12/2022 21:24

This is brilliant, mince pies, aioli and half the bakery section in. Going through the other ideas now. Keep 'em coming Grin

Pelo22 · 13/12/2022 21:28

Agree with meat being good too
Wonky fruit veg is always reasonable prices if you search wonky, it all comes up!
The best fresh pea and ham soup (my dad recommends that)

Ladyof2022 · 13/12/2022 21:29

Wensleydale with mango and ginger. M is the only supermarket that sells it. Sublime.

Twoweeksandcounting · 13/12/2022 21:29

I third the rectangular fruit scones. They are sugar topped and delicious!

tubbylittletwat · 13/12/2022 21:31

Wonky pomegranates, if you like pomegranates.

Moltenpink · 13/12/2022 21:32

Their frozen shell on shrimp are lovely. The Chardonnay wine box is decent and works out less than £4 a bottle. Also love the flat iron steak, such a tasty cut and really cheap

AnyFucker · 13/12/2022 21:33

Yes, the pea and ham soup. Also the tomato and red pepper soup.

AnyFucker · 13/12/2022 21:33

Pigs in blankets are good

Squishedstormtrooper · 13/12/2022 21:34

The salt and pepper tiger baps and their carved ham. Heaven!

Pelo22 · 13/12/2022 21:37

This is why when I sent my dad to Morrisons to pick my prescription up, he was back 2hrs later Grin with half the bloody shop
(My local one has had a refurb and is lovely)

Tollumi · 13/12/2022 21:48

Bloody love shell on shrimps, they're in. Also red onion bhajis, the gingery Wensleydale and the pomegranates. And the Pigs in blankets.

Flat iron? Bloody hell. This might end up not being a one off Grin
