I'm Doing a Morrisons Shop - What Should I Order?

I thought a nice, calming shopping thread was in order.

I never shop at Morrisons, but I'm doing a random order with them for one item. What's amazing at Morrisons that I should buy? What have I been missing? It's delivery btw, so got to be ordered online.

The honey Greek yoghurt
Reduced fat peanut butter, never seen it anywhere else

napody · 13/12/2022 22:00

Wonky avocadoes.
And it sounds boring but their white pittas are soft, fluffy and better than those of all other supermarkets.

Tollumi · 13/12/2022 22:01

Searching everything wonky - I'm a fan of wonky produce.

All the meat, their meat is the best I have ever bought in a supermarket, better than M & S or Waitrose.

The cream filled iced fingers from the bakery section

Beef shin, lovely for stews and slow cooked curry.

themodiste · 13/12/2022 22:12

Bit of a random one, but we love their frozen bread garlic mushrooms. Lovely!

Mykittensmittens · 13/12/2022 22:14

Again, the allioli it’s this one by a brand called chovi.

it’s like some glorious mix of rich garlic and mayo. Salted kettle crisps dipped in this are heaven. Or spread on crackers. Or spread on anything frankly….

So simple but they are just ridiculous - their egg custards.

Wow.

My husband and I developed a proper problem at one point 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

Chris Evans was reading out a consumer taste test of Yule logs on his radio show this morning, where Morrison's chocolate fudge Yule logs were the winner.

emmacat · 13/12/2022 22:28

Cheese and onion bread buns in the four pack. I literally drive to the other side of town just for these

newnamequickly · 13/12/2022 22:32

A bit random but I always buy in bulk when I reach a Morrisons.....their value instant mash. It's one of the few that's vegan and it's really nice with vegan butter added.

PullingAtTeeth · 13/12/2022 22:40

Place marking for some inspiration!

Tollumi · 13/12/2022 22:43

Breaking news - I just signed up for a Delivery pass Grin

I had NO idea Morrisons was as good as this. V grateful for all the ideas. I'm on cheeses now.

Bon mamman salted caramel creme They are quite hard to find elsewhere

UnderPowered · 13/12/2022 23:18

Their stone baked pitta breads are really nice.

Pelo22 · 14/12/2022 00:07

Trying to think of more!
Not necessarily exclusive to Morrisons but
Their world food aisle section - KTC range is cheap and good (tinned tomatoes, pulses etc)
Longley farm cottage cheese
cofresh lemon and chill grill crisps and black pepper cashews
Ham trimmings (I use them for omelettes and cut up into pasta etc)

To be honest there isn't anything I've tried and not liked, it was our main supermarket when I was growing up

The best pink lemonade ice lollies.

Yes! These are amazing

RightOnTheEdge · 14/12/2022 00:19

Cheese puffs, they are the absolute best! Also honey nut peanut butter.

SafariRushHour · 14/12/2022 00:20

Personally I wouldn’t bother with Morrisons. Over priced

pizzaHeart · 14/12/2022 00:27

I second longley farm cottage cheese.
I also like their fresh pasta especially mushroom tortellini, duck legs in sauce, vine ripened tomatoes and their rum and raisin chocolate. They usually have good deals for apples and pears and for bread rolls from bakery.
Enjoy!
