I find questions like this a bit odd. Knowing what someone's income is, without knowing their outgoings seems pointless to me. For instance, I get around £28k a year, retired with a good occupational pension. But my outgoings are minimal. No debts so just utilities to pay for.

so £28k would mean I'm part of the struggling middle but my outgoings mean I'm in a v comfortable position, especially in a society where nurses (for fucks sake) have to use food banks

Agree with this. Mortgages have sky rocketed recently too, a salary without an understanding of outgoings won't give you any sort of understanding. Also, why aren't you asking OP?

I don’t think it’s odd to be curious about salary prospects in different fields, maybe OP is considering retraining.

Tech admin/implementation (deliberately vague as I’ve shared lots of details!) £21600, but with perks & great prospects after a gruelling hazing period in your first few years. Could be earning £60k in ten years.

Sparklingbrook · 10/12/2022 20:54

Why do you need this information @Maximomm ?

pigonalipstick · 10/12/2022 20:55

Professional footballer. £100m a year.

But really I do it for the kicks.

Cherryblossoms85 · 10/12/2022 20:56

@DarkKarmaIlama actually that is 90% of what I do! I pulled some interesting stats the other day though and finally managed to make the secondary axis work the way I wanted it to. So annoying now all the charting controls are basically hidden. It showed a mismatch between exposure and returns, which is very useful. Why that's worth so much is of course a different question.
