@PickleSarnie that's what I did before I became a space cowboy. Much better job satisfaction back then

InTheFutilityRoomEatingBiscuits · 10/12/2022 20:36

I don’t have one. Depends how hard I work.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 10/12/2022 20:36

I left my job because my pay was so shit for the amount of responsibility I held.

I was on 16.600, (37 hours a week, term time only, FTE was 19 something)

I was an education welfare officer, a skilled professional helping the most vulnerable children back into school or into alternate provision. School support staff are paid buttons, it’s atrocious.

I find questions like this a bit odd. Knowing what someone's income is, without knowing their outgoings seems pointless to me. For instance, I get around £28k a year, retired with a good occupational pension. But my outgoings are minimal. No debts so just utilities to pay for.

so £28k would mean I'm part of the struggling middle but my outgoings mean I'm in a v comfortable position, especially in a society where nurses (for fucks sake) have to use food banks
