Where in London will wow my 16 year old daughter for dinner?

I want to take me and my daughter out for the evening for her birthday where we both get dressed up and go somewhere fun and fancy that she’ll love and will blow her away - so a menu that isn’t ridiculously adult biased but where the atmos and the place is quirky, fancy, fun and she will love.
Help!

What sort of food does she like? Would she prefer traditional, or ‘cool and fun’?

Duck and Waffle is good for a nice view and lots of different sharing dishes, not too expensive, but the view says ‘London’, especially if you don’t live there. In the same building is Sushi Samba, not as good view, but would be fun for a 16y old as you can cook your own wagyu steaks!

I take it you’d prefer to steer away from more formal/stuffy places like Rules/Ritz/etc.?

Me and my mum went here before a show a few weeks ago - it's not the cheapest, but the food was amazing and the decor was lovely and very posh.

There were photos of lots of celebrities who has eaten there hanging on the wall in the hallway to the toilets - including Zara Philips. My mum has only been to London a handful of times before and she was blown away 😊

Sanderson hotel does a very quirky and fun Alice in Wonderland afternoon tea.

What food does she like? DS is obsessed with Japanese at the moment and we’ve had a looooot of Japanese food recently.

doorheckk · 10/12/2022 19:30

has anyone suggested Sketch?

bevelino · 10/12/2022 19:30

Sexy Fish if you like Japanese food. I had a lovely lunch with dds there recently.

I love this place

Does she like sushi? Nobu and Tattu are both really good if she does. Hakkasan too, more Chinese and incredible, but it's expensive imo! If she likes steak then Hawksmoor, the new wood wharf one is fancy feeling on the inside and looks cool!

LillyLeaf · 10/12/2022 19:31

Ha, came on to suggest Sketch. Here's another vote for it anyway.

SkinnyFatte · 10/12/2022 19:32

Coppa Club Tower Bridge. Hire one of their outside pods. The view is lovely.

name78change · 10/12/2022 19:32

Never heard of Sketch but am now planning to go!

Whataretheodds · 10/12/2022 19:32

Circo Popolare or Tower Bridge Coppa Club

StonethatCrow · 10/12/2022 19:33

Another vote for Sexy Fish or The Shard for insta

Hellosunshine1993 · 10/12/2022 19:33

The Ned. Especially if they have live music on the grandstand.

Hellosunshine1993 · 10/12/2022 19:34

The food at Coppa Club is crap - slug and lettuce standard. And unless you’ve booked months in advance, you won’t get an igloo

11plusdoneanddusted · 10/12/2022 19:35

Sushi samba if she likes sushi!

ricketybeauty · 10/12/2022 19:38

Gloria’s in Shoreditch. She’ll be able to Instagram (or whatever it is that the kids do) the shit out of it.

ZittiEBuoni · 10/12/2022 19:38

Another vote for Sketch

NameIsBryceQuinlan · 10/12/2022 19:40

Ha I came to say Sketch or The Shard or Sushi Samba are all very "instagramable"

Juicylychee · 10/12/2022 19:43

Coppa club food is awful.

Needaholidaypronto · 10/12/2022 19:43

Ivy Asia if you like oriental
