Where in London will wow my 16 year old daughter for dinner?

I want to take me and my daughter out for the evening for her birthday where we both get dressed up and go somewhere fun and fancy that she’ll love and will blow her away - so a menu that isn’t ridiculously adult biased but where the atmos and the place is quirky, fancy, fun and she will love.
Help!

bahahahahaha the sketch bathrooms are so instagrammable

Brasserie Zedel is a beautiful restaurant at Piccadilly Circus and is in effect a French Brasserie.

When is her Birthday? Sketch will be closed for most of January

Def Sketch for the whole look.

The Wolseley for a bit of celeb spotting (but more our generation perhaps!).

is she after fab food or a great photo of the loos?

tiredtiredtiredmum · 10/12/2022 19:52

Sketch or Sushi Samba (the latter even more of a wow in my opinion due to the views)

MoveOnTheCards · 10/12/2022 19:52

Radio Rooftop?

AnnieSaxophone · 10/12/2022 20:00

Oh wow - thank you so much everyone - so many brilliant ideas. I’m looking at sketch to start with - which restaurant would have the most impact and is there live music?

She loves japanese food but I’m thinking I want to find somewhere incredible to look at as well as the food aspect.

Ivy Asia is beautiful to look at.

fyn · 10/12/2022 20:07

The Bluebird in Chelsea or the Darcie and May Green canal boat restaurants are fun!

Notanotherone6 · 10/12/2022 20:09

After all the suggestions for Sketch, I've just had a look. Fuck me, the website is off-puttingly awful and I can't see any 16 year old being vaguely impressed with the menu.

AnotherEmma · 10/12/2022 20:15

Sushi Samba looks amazing!

What's so great about Sketch? Impossible to tell from the website. Why has everyone recommended it without telling us more?! Do explain!

BubblinTrouble · 10/12/2022 20:17

Circus London pan Asian food and they have live entertainment!! Also duck and waffle is great too. As well as sushi samba.

London Shell Company is brilliant and something different
londonshellco.com
but you mostly have to like fish really.

erinaceus · 10/12/2022 20:20

Signor Sassi is a bit bonkers but lovely.

cinnabongene · 10/12/2022 20:23

Sketch looks like a blancmange threw up in it.

You lot are brilliant!!! I’ve been lost in all the websites! I’ve just booked at Ivy Asia St Paul’s and hope it’s as good as the other ‘branches’!!!

The Sky Garden has 2 restaurants, amazing views and a lovely lounge. Some evenings trendy music.

CorporateBull · 10/12/2022 20:42

Pret a Portea at the Berkeley is massive fun. An enormous afternoon tea with the most beautiful cakes made in a couture theme.

warofthemonstertrucks · 10/12/2022 20:58

Ivy Asia

Bouledeneige · 10/12/2022 20:59

Benihana is a lot of fun and not too fancy that they don't know what to eat and you have to take out a mortgage.

warofthemonstertrucks · 10/12/2022 20:59

Beach blanket Babylon in Notting hill if she likes made in chelsea.
