Good Morning All! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day before heading up to get dressed. The first load of washing's waiting to be hung, and second is in the machine.

Today's Panto day with my Rainbows and Guides, and my friend's Brownie unit! I'm so excited, but a bit gutted we've had a few drop outs for various reasons. I had to book a separate block of tickets so now just a handful will be "over there" with an adult 😢

First though, I'm heading into town to finish the last of my Christmas shopping, barring something for my Dad. I'm hoping I'll find something next week at Sheffield Christmas market.

Stew for tea, since it just does its thing in the slow cooker, probably accompanied by a glass of wine 🍷

Eating crumpets in bed at the moment. Putting up the Christmas tree this morning, then wrapping presents to go under it.

May re-watch The Detectorists later, in preparation for the Christmas special.

Chorizo and gnocchi bake for dinner tonight.

Just got us all dressed, ready for Breakfast with Santa.
Will then go to mum & dads for an hour or so, then home for the day.
was meant to be going to my cousins 30th party, but DH shifts changed, and couldnt get anyone to look after the kids, so i’ll be home, wrapping presents when the kids go to bed, while watching England v France.

Annoyingly I woke up at 6. Feeling pretty smug that I've done the washing and mopped the floors already. Just having a coffee before getting dressed then DD2 and I are off for a gym class together.

DH is supposed to be playing hockey with DS1 but am hoping it's cancelled as they've both been ill this week and should really give it a miss. DD2 has a party this afternoon. I'm going to make some soup and bread and do some more jobs. DD1 is revising and pottering about. DS2 will do the same without the revising probably.

I have a works night out tonight which I am dreading. I wish I hadn't signed up for it.

Getting ready to go out with my 11month old, going to a Christmas Market with some friends.

Will work on the housework later!

I need to do some housework this morning. We try and keep on top of it during the week but with us both working full time and two children, there are jobs that only get done on a weekend. Currently still laying in bed though but will get up soon.

DH says he is going to take the children out to do some Christmas shopping so I can get on and then later this afternoon we are meeting my sister and her family for dinner before home for the football.

If I can force myself out, I'm sorting the garden. Carrots and parsnips need to come out. Will probably roast them up later.
Posting a couple of Christmas cards.

Will probably also get the Christmas decorations out of the attic ready for putting up tomorrow

Football!! Allllll day. Will watch highlights from last night as annoyingly I had to go out, listen to ask the five live build up and watch both matches. PLEASE NO PENALTIES. Have wine in fridge to help with any nerves.

A quiet weekend for us for once which is lovely as it's been a really hectic week.

I'm currently having crumpets and a cup of tea for breakfast while DDs watch cartoons. I'll have a hot bath or shower in a bit as my hair needs washing.

I've got to buy a box of chocolates later to drop round to my best friend as she's helped me out a lot recently, and write the couple of Christmas cards that need posting.

I also need to start on wrapping DD's Christmas presents so I'll probably try to sneak upstairs and do that later.

Fajitas for dinner which I'm really looking forward to and then a quiet evening watching TV with a Bailey's.

I'm lying in bed drinking coffee and watching snow fall outside my window (NW). It's so restful. Trying to work up the energy to get up and start my Saturday jobs (stripping and washing bedding, piles of ironing etc).

DP will take the younger two DC for their swimming lesson this morning, and then later today our Christmas tree will be delivered and we'll decorate that and have the first mince pies of the season. I know DP and DD1 are going to be watching the football this evening and I'll dip in and out. Think I'll make fajitas for dinner, with spicy sweet potato wedges on the side.

I woke up early (for me) at around 7 and have just had a cup of tea and a gluten free chocolate twist as a treat.

Today I need to write out some Christmas cards to post, pop to town and pick up a few stocking fillers for the kids.

Tonight we are heading out for an early meal for my MIL birthday and then off to join friends at the pub (hoping football won't be on all evening!)

The first night my baby slept decent chunks in ages, meaning I had 5 hrs of uninterrupted sleep!!! Could weep with joy.
Been up with the babies since 6am, drinking my first coffee - we’re heading to Peak District today for a lunch with OH’s family for SILs birthday - planning to have a nice chocolatey dessert afterwards!
hoping we’ll be able to come back early enough so I can cook broccoli and Stilton soup, when babies are in bed we might watch a movie with a 🍷

Quiet weekend here. Dp and I are very busy at work and dp had a bad cold
Dd2 is getting over hers, and we have a busy week next with as last week of school.

It's also snowing very heavily, and sticking, so dc will at somepoint go out and play in it. I'm glad we have no plans. I'm not a fan of travelling in the snow. We do need to write Christmas cards and take santa letters to the post box but that's just a short walk. We will watch football later - also hoping for no penalties I found it hard enough watching yesterday's not sure I could cope with England!

Trying to motivate myself to leave the house to do grocery shop and then (horrors) clothes shopping with recalcitrant teen & nearly teen DSs. (They are still wearing shorts in the current cold snap we are having in Ireland, -2 outside at present).

I booked a cinema trip with youngest DS which is now a bit awkward with other plans but I have to make it work.

I also started defrosting my freezer, groan, and more tidying up before hopefully getting our tree later. I'm not in a very festive mood & not inclined to decorate but must!

Finally sorting DD for her trip to Berlin on a language exchange. I feel like we have missed essentials as we don't travel much. Will need to do a checklist & make sure!

I've been cat sitting this week and I stupidly managed to lose the key to their house last night. I rang the lady and she was ok about it but I have to drive a 2 hour round trip to get her spare key. Could have been worse I suppose. This afternoon I'll maybe go for a walk or something. No other plans.

I'm out this morning meeting friends, then we have DS's mates over tonight watching the football/eating as it was his birthday yesterday

DP was up and out early for work this morning. I’m showered and dressed but DD’s still in her room, haranguing her teddies.
I’ll be off out for a couple of hours once her carers get here. Need to pick up a prescription and look for a Christmas present for my dad. I’m stumped, aa usual - I’ll probably end up buying him cheese and chutney again.
Once DP’s home, I need to sort out clothes for my mum’s funeral on Monday. It’s going to be freezing, so need to find something reasonably smart but warm.
Leftover takeaway curry for supper, and I’m sure DP will want to watch the football.

I'm bracing myself to do the food shop, then I will have a tidy up at home - we've had a busy week so everything needs a once over.

I think I've a couple of hours home alone this afternoon so plan to get some wrapping done in front of a film. I do have a bit more shopping to do but not sure if that will happen today.

Tonight ds1's girlfriend is round for dinner and I'm planning to light the fire, have a glass of wine and watch the football.

Morning. I'm.baking fruit cakes. Was supposed to be going to take some flowers to boyfriend's grave but weather is awful do can't go. It s 7h round trip. Feeling fed up. House smells lovely🙂have a great day all. X

Morning! I'm taking ds1 to a proper barber's this morning instead of our local hairdresser in the hope he gets the cool cut he wants...we will see!
Then cleaning up pine needles after putting our beautiful tree up last night and preparing some lovely food as we have friends over tonight to watch the football. As we are a French/English household it should be interesting!
Still some Christmas shopping to do too!

Christmas shopping. I want to get both my parents gifts and my two nieces gifts ticked off today. I know what I'm getting. I just want to go into the shops get what I need and get out of there. No aimlessly wondering around the Christmas markets for me.

Them tonight mum is babysitting whilst we go down the pub to watch the football.

I've been awake since 6, I've fed the sweet feral kittens and cat, made halloumi toasties and coffee, the OH has been round to the boulangerie for bread and croissants for after lunch. I've already got dough premade after yesterdays pizza to make into nans, and a curry from thursday so all I have to do is to cook some rice and heat and cook those and that's the main meal sorted.

The rest of the day I'll be dismantling old raised beds in the garden and cutting more wood as I'm going to start the fire earlier today and all through the winter I forage wood from the crashed down trees in the woods behind us, cut some and leave it to dry for future fires. Brrrrrr.

Must warm the gloves up before I go out and double up on the socks today.

Morning! Me and the dc are utterly exhausted from a hectic week of work/study/wrap around childcare/errands etc. They were supposed to go to their dads this weekend but they were close to tears at the thought and just wanted to chill at home. So this weekend we are doing nothing! 2 full days of lounging, gaming, watching movies, pottering, and lazing around. I'm blissfully happy 😊

Was supposed to visit my elderly mum but snow and ice mean I can't walk down the hill to the bus stop.
Can't leave the house so will write my cards and crochet whole watching Christmas films.
