A Kremlin insider said that Putin- was helped to a sofa by bodyguards as his personal doctors rushed to assist him.
Putin is also alleged to have soiled himself during the fall.

This man has presided over the unleashing of mass rapes as a weapon of war and people on here feel sorry for him? Fucking hell I've heard it all now

RogersOrganismicProcess · 03/12/2022 07:32

What he is doing is wrong, but that does not make the papers printing this right. Is it a race to the bottom in terms or morality? I felt the same when (overseas at the time) Saddam Husain’s execution was televised. It is like we are vultures.

DarkNecessities · 03/12/2022 07:35

What a disgusting thread title.
You should be ashamed

PerfectlyPreservedQuagaarWarrior · 03/12/2022 07:37

Putin's power is built on being a strong, tough Alpha-male; and being portrayed as a weak and fragile old man undermines this badly which is good.

Yes, this.

It's not 'someone'. It's a repulsive genocidal dictator who has taken great care to try and portray himself as physically strong and virile. It's part of his image and mystique. He would not be where he is today had he not been able to successfully portray himself as a strongman. Being a strongman doesn't leave any room for shitting yourself incidents. Which yes, does say a lot of bad things about human attitudes to physical weakness, illness, disability etc, but that is the context in which Putin operates.

None of which is to say there's any truth to this, of course, but that's why morally it would be completely fine to report on such an incident.

It's only what the headlines have said.

Bog · 03/12/2022 07:43

Ha poohtin...such a shame couldn't have happened to a nicer guy 🤣

LynetteScavo · 03/12/2022 07:54

I don't believe this for a second. If it were true it would have been kept very quite.

And I can have no sympathy at all for anyone who starts a war. Do people not fully grasp what Putin is doing?

Aishah231 · 03/12/2022 07:56

I'm no fan of Putin but this sounds like obvious propaganda and in very poor taste.

daretodenim · 03/12/2022 04:17

I heard this too but I don't like it. Honestly, so what if he did. There are hundreds of thousands of elderly people who fall over and soil themselves and feel ashamed. Worse if they're then stick for hours waiting for an ambulance. I know of it happening to younger people with traumatic injuries too.

There's one hundred million things that Putin can be shamed for. An involuntary bodily reaction that may or may not have happened is ridiculously minor and not worth mentioning.

Agreed

splatfrog · 03/12/2022 08:02

This never happened. It's all made up.

dudsville · 03/12/2022 08:04

There was a thread earlier in the week started by a poster who had fallen and was embarrassed. Everyone encouraged her to not feel embarrassed saying it was a normal human experience. I agree the the pp's who say this is not the thing Putin should be ashamed of.

This is MN.

The war and destruction he’s unleashed are just one snapshot of his day.

We shouldn’t judge.

Surprised to see so much empathy directed at somebody who is responsible for the brutal deaths of civilians, including children - indiscriminate killings that continue to happen as we speak. Oh, and somebody who has directly threatened us with nuclear obliteration.

Blueblell · 03/12/2022 08:09

Quite a few oligarchs/business people have been murdered in past months so we can assume there have been attempts to topple him. Stories like this are probably aimed at giving confidence to those who want to try a change of leadership

daisychain01 · 03/12/2022 08:10

Any news article claiming to have sourced their information from "A Kremlin insider* has to be taken with a shipping container of salt, let alone a pinch. This thread needs to be similarly marked with a health warning "Beware of Misinformation"

its just more of the same old peddled nonsense that's been doing the rounds for years. By rights he should have kicked the bucket from numerous pestulances and diseases, but it's all just wishful thinking.

Costadelot · 03/12/2022 08:24

If true hopefully next time he dies.

splatfrog · 03/12/2022 08:26

I agree with you @Blueblell It's surprising how many have accidents around windows/car crashes, Novichok tea anyone? Putin will never get to relax and enjoy that obscene Versailles palace he's built for his retirement, he'll be nobbled first.

miceonabranch · 03/12/2022 08:31

Watch out for banana skins 🤭

I hope he is terminally ill, in terrible pain and suffers until his last breath.

Florenz · 03/12/2022 08:38

Apparently he also only has one testicle.

None of this seems to have been picked up by any of the reputable mainstream news agencies like Reuters so I'm not convinced its true.

For heavens sake- what a ridiculous post.
Putin isn’t your average ‘frail elderly person’.
Have you not read the news? He deserves no sympathy

Pythonese · 03/12/2022 08:42

..... so what ?

JMAngel1 · 03/12/2022 08:42

Shame he didn't break his neck.
I hope he does have pancreatic cancer - he shouldn't last long.

miceonabranch · 03/12/2022 08:44

Florenz · 03/12/2022 08:38

Apparently he also only has one testicle.

Apparently when they conducted an examination of what was left of Hitler's body, they found that he did indeed only have one testicle.
