It's the start of advent for the Playmobil people in our house...

... and so each day I'll be posting a simple picture from the Playmobil advent calendar. I haven't had time to do any complicated scenes this year so it will just be one small photo per day.

How lovely! Do they have names?

@petalpower no names for the reindeer. Actually not many of our Playmo animals have names, apart from Apollo, Brandy, the farm dog Mac and some of the horses. Sir Ospringe Bapchild's horse is called Canterbury, and Basil's police horse is called PlusForce. And the race horses which were in the Playmo Derby for the platinum jubilee have names.

Lovely. I went to buy eggs from my local farm shop today. They have reindeer - but either they were all out on Christmas business today, or they were hiding from the torrential rain!

I’ve been feeling rough and tired and the reindeer cheered me up. I do like a reindeer.

It's Father Christmas with a sack of presents!

I think the presents are for all the little Playmo children. I expect they've been good all year!

Also, I think that's just rather a flattering camera angle for Father Christmas! If it was a profile view you might think he'd been at the mince pies...

I suppose though that Father Christmas will be working very hard at this time of year, and burning off lots of energy!
