Ohhhh I seem to have found my people 😍

Starter: duck liver pate with beautiful sourdough bread, salted French butter from Normandy, dressed leaves and some sort of Cumberland sauce or red onion marmalade.
Or a baked camembert with garlic, rosemary and honey and sourdough.

  • wine - maybe a nice Malbec or a French red.

Main: a nice marbly ribeye steak, French fries and a Roquefort sauce. Maybe some garlicky French beans. Proper quality mayo and baguette if I need it.
Alternatively, a fillet of fish, pan fried in butter with sautéed shellfish and a creamy dill or white wine sauce. Garlic potatoes and green beans. Wine - Picpoul de Pinet.

Dessert:
A tiramisu or a light but rich sticky toffee pudding with great quality vanilla ice cream.
I might have a baileys or an espresso martini 😍

This is in my dream world - I bloody love my food but I don't think I could handle all that in one sitting!

Dartmoorcheffy · 28/11/2022 21:20

Starter would have to be seafood. Calamari, king prawns, mussels, smoked salmon

Followed by fillet mignon with mashed potatoes, pepper sauce and home made onion rings

Tiramisu for dessert

Xtraincome · 28/11/2022 21:27

Some of these meals are amazing!

Garlic mushrooms
Surf n turf: filet and lobster with beef dripping chips and a house salad
Ice cream Sundae with chocolate sauce and nuts

grapehyacinthisactuallyblue · 28/11/2022 21:31

Course at the Sushi restaurant.

Augend23 · 28/11/2022 21:35

Starter I think would be a warm salad of duck confit, goats cheese, sweet and sour cherry, chorizo, and then actual salady leaves.

Main course, I'm pretty undecided because I want to list lots of things but I think maybe a fish pie, with samphire in it and no peas. To eat with roasted tenderstem broccoli.

Then a malted milk chocolate cheesecake for pudding.

HeadacheEarthquake · 28/11/2022 21:47

Duck liver pate on sourdough with spicy Berry jam and a glass of cremant

Roast lamb with gravy, roasties, honey glazed carrots and savoy cabbage - and a bucket of valipolicella

Stilton with quince jelly and a glass of port

Obviously all under 600kcal 😅

ChicagoBears · 28/11/2022 21:52

Ooh I love this game. Me and the kids call it death row meal.

I'm too greedy and indecisive to participate.

Well mine was just one version of many death row menus that sit in my mind!

exLtEveDallas · 28/11/2022 22:06

Meal:
French onion soup.
Filet steak Diane with dauphinois potatoes, garlic mushrooms, onions and fine green beans.
Creme Brûlée

Drink: Espresso Martini

Treat: one chunk extra mature cheddar and one chunk dark chocolate.

CharlotteStreet · 28/11/2022 22:09

As it's I'm a Celeb, I would have:

  • tempura prawns with a sweet chilli dipping sauce followed by...
  • bangers mash and beans and as my shrunken stomach would be uncomfortably full by now, I'd only manage...
  • Loseley strawberry or Jude's salted caramel ice cream
CharlotteStreet · 28/11/2022 22:11

Ooh forgot drink and treat!

Drink would be Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum and apple juice. Treat would be a chocolate orange for later.

heretohelp22 · 28/11/2022 22:11

Camembert with onion chutney and toasted sour dough bread
Fillet steak medium with mash potato and tender-stem broccoli
Crème brûlée Grin

I am hungry now!!

starlight1011 · 28/11/2022 22:14

Love this thread!

Starter - a really nice pate with sourdough bread & salted butter and a very dry Prosecco

Main - roast beef dinner with all the trimmings and gravy

desert - Eton mess with loads of raspberries, sauce and whipped cream

Noshowlomo · 28/11/2022 22:17

I’m veggie and also pretty basic so I’d go with-
starters - sweet potatoes wedges with a sour cream and chive dip

main- nut roast Christmas dinner with all the veg and sprouts and my husbands epic gravy

dessert - treacle pudding and custard

Phos · 28/11/2022 22:32

Scallops on black pudding and pea puree with a bit of apple

Yorkshire pudding, roasted carrot, fillet steak, roast potatoes, beef dripping gravy and an onion loaf thing and a lettuce wedge with ranch and croutons like you get at Miller and Carter

Champagne pannacotta with strawberries and a raspberry gel

Snowpaw · 28/11/2022 22:50

S: that expensive Spanish ham that is made from pigs who only eat acorns, and some lardo. With cornichons and some wrinkly black olives packed in oil. Glass of beer.

M: fried chicken, curly fries, coleslaw

D: an array of blue cheeses drizzled with manuka honey and some little fancy crackers

Rupertgrintismyguiltypleasure · 28/11/2022 22:51

Mine would be prawn cocktail with 2 slices of seeded bread
steak, jacket potato with cheese and butter, with mushrooms, peppers and onions and a corn on the cob.
chocolate fudge cake with ice cream

treat would be haribos
drink would be full fat coke

ItisallPooh · 28/11/2022 22:52

Smoked salmon, cream cheese with crusty bread and a pomegranate salad
Fillet of beef, dauphinois potatoes, roasted root veg with ample gravy
Raspberry, vanilla and chambord trifle

AlwaysFullOfQuestions22 · 28/11/2022 22:52

Mines boring

Garlic mushrooms with garlic mayo

Mixed grill, chips mushrooms grilled tomato

Blackforest gateau

Everydaywheniwakeup · 28/11/2022 23:04

Nocellara olives and a glass of champagne
Lobster in garlic butter with an iceberg lettuce side salad with a glass or 3 of Gavi
Cheese board with honey and a few crackers and port. Though I can no longer tolerate cheese so I'd probably go for cantucci and a glass of vin Santo.
