Is there anyone who hasn’t started Christmas shopping for presents?

We have a long term agreement with family that no one buys anyone presents which makes life easier (we all already have too much stuff!) Therefore I only have my partner to buy for. So no I haven’t done any.

We haven't started. Kids are teenagers and have just had birthdays so they don't know what they want. I've just had my birthday and dont really need anything.

minipie · 24/11/2022 12:09

Me.

We don’t do adult presents. DH does the kids on his side of the family, I do our kids, there are no other kids on my side of the family. So I haven’t much to do and my DC will change their mind if I buy too early so no point getting ahead!

CMOTDibbler · 24/11/2022 12:11

Yup. I only have to buy for dh and ds(16) so it doesn't take much. No christmas food bought either

Itwasntevenblackpudding · 24/11/2022 12:14

We don't do presents for adults.

Have three young grandchildren but we will be flying (hand luggage only) to spend Christmas with them in the UK so their presents will get ordered on-line and delivered straight to UK.

ginslinger · 24/11/2022 12:20

I haven't - I don't have many presents to buy and it only takes a couple of hours in town when I put my mind to it.

LindorDoubleChoc · 24/11/2022 12:21

Me. I don't entertain the idea of Christmas before 1st December - never have. BUT I have bought myself an advent calendar this year - the dc are too old Grin.

BlackberryCat · 24/11/2022 12:26

Me!

It’s really hard pinning the kids down on what they want plus we don’t have a lot of storage space. I’ll probably start next week.

Nalaaslan · 24/11/2022 12:32

Nope, I am annoyingly disorganised about Christmas presents even though I am generally a very organised person!!!

I usually take a days annual leave mid December and do the lot in one day 😄

warofthemonstertrucks · 24/11/2022 12:39

Me. I'm scared to start as I don't know what to get anyone, and I know it will be stressful, and we are a bit broke. Plus having a really hard time with DD2 just now and tbh, she is being so horrible that I don't have the motivation to go and get her stuff. I will of course but it will be such a thankless task and it's making me miserable :(

Lovelycupofcoffee · 24/11/2022 12:40

Me . Every year I plan to be more organised but it never happens 🤣

Bonjovispyjamas · 24/11/2022 12:55

I haven't, I used to be so organised when I was younger, buying one present a week from September, but now I tend to get them all at once at the last minute, I don't have that many to buy though.

haveyouopenedyourbowelstoday · 24/11/2022 12:58

This year the adult children are all having cash. New grandson is having a Jumperoo which I'll buy soon.
But everyone is having a stocking and I've started putting stuff by for them.

romany4 · 24/11/2022 13:07

Me!

DH has just had a stroke and is very unwell. Couldn't give a shit about Christmas right now and I'm normally organised and excited about Christmas

MadisonAvenue · 24/11/2022 13:08

Me. I used to start much earlier than this but I’ve got later and later in recent years, and my Mom passed away two weeks ago so funeral arrangements have taken over any Christmas planning.

emmathedilemma · 24/11/2022 13:09

i've bought PJs for the nephews and that's it so far! Don't have clue what I'm buying anyone else and no one seems to have a Xmas list. I've also still got 2 birthday presents to buy for people who also get a Xmas gift.

TwoBlueFish · 24/11/2022 13:10

🙋🏻‍♀️

Bestcatmum · 24/11/2022 13:11

I wait until the last second. I don't have any time, I'm either working in the NHS or asleep. Nobody will tell me what they want - they want a surprise, they don't seem to understand how hard that is for me.
It means trawling the shops for hours on end searching on my one day off. I'm disabled as well.
Everyone's getting book tokens this year and lump it.

JessesMum777888 · 24/11/2022 13:13

Me 🤦‍♀️

Hummingbird11 · 24/11/2022 13:17

A couple ofon-line orders for Boots and John Lewis but that’s all so far

BloodyHellKen · 24/11/2022 13:19

Me, it's not even December yet!!!!

mommybear1 · 24/11/2022 14:14

CatJumperTwat · 24/11/2022 14:21

I started today because I need to send some internationally.

I usually love buying gifts but this year I have to spend as little as possible and it's no fun.
