If you could wake up with one thing tomorrow, what would it be?

For me, perfect eyesight.

I'm not even especially horrifically short-sighted, but to be able to avoid the faff of finding your glasses / putting your contacts in / wafting around like an eejit and just... seeing the world like a Disney princess every morning as soon as you open your eyes would be AMAZING.

(And yes, I've checked, I'm not suitable for laser surgery, unfortunately.)

You?

My mum back

LadyOfTheCanyon · 22/11/2022 21:23

10 mill should probably cover all I need to get done for me and mine.

But having read all your wishes, I can't ask for that when I could wish for you all to be happy and healthy and reunited with loved ones.

( if I could just have a small wish it would be to have my darling DCat back as a kitten so I could keep him safe against the illness that took him in the end).

Human beings to have evolved - so that there is no more violence or brutality or war, and everyone genuinely works for the good of the community, and families and social networks are genuinely supportive.

Yes so just human evolution please.

if we could go back to 2019 again pre Covid days-
DH has no cancer, and he hasn’t had an accident that left him with a broken knee
being wealthy and financial secure like before
mum and dad still together and not divorced
baby half brother from my dad’s affair not born

We have never started this business that has left us broke and lost £££
regain my sanity and feel peaceful again

Allthemojitos · 22/11/2022 21:28

A pain free vagina.

butterfliedtwo · 22/11/2022 21:28

And yeah, I would love to wake up in a timeline in which covid never happened. That'd be amazing tbh.

My late son back.
No more fucking suicide to rip families apart.

Me too, I lost my son to suicide on Christmas day 2020, there's not a day goes by that i don't want to be with him.

If I have to wake up tomorrow I wish I could have 1 hour with him, too see his smile, hold his hand and ask him why?

Freedom from “D” H who I’m in the process of separating from, was my first thought

A housekeeper and the means to pay them.
I hate all household jobs and find them so totally tedious.

xigris · 22/11/2022 21:59

The NHS, education and CAMHS to be properly funded.

My husband having his full eyesight back. A stroke has robbed him of 50% in each eye. The loss of independence for him has been huge. I would give anything for him to have his sight back

generalh · 22/11/2022 22:02

DH back, for my children more than for me.
Parenting bereaved children on your own whilst dealing with your own grief is extremely hard and I don’t want to anymore.

! day with my late mum going to the garden centre to buy some plants, walking our dogs, listening to her off the wall ideas (which used to drive me mad), eating a slice of toast which she always insisted on grilling because she swore it tasted better, watching her stand on the kerb and do her huge wave as I drove off and most importantly not knowing that this was just a special one off.

That's lovely, and it does taste better 🙂

greeandorange · 22/11/2022 22:14
