If you could wake up with one thing tomorrow, what would it be?

For me, perfect eyesight.

I'm not even especially horrifically short-sighted, but to be able to avoid the faff of finding your glasses / putting your contacts in / wafting around like an eejit and just... seeing the world like a Disney princess every morning as soon as you open your eyes would be AMAZING.

(And yes, I've checked, I'm not suitable for laser surgery, unfortunately.)

You?

My Mum. She died in January at only 78 and I really miss her.

To be cured of trigeminal neuralgia.

Chasingsquirrels · 22/11/2022 20:40

Late DH, in good health.

RosettaStormer · 22/11/2022 20:45

For my son to be truly happy and financially secure. For all the toxic dynamics in the extended family to resolve into love and harmony.

A house big enough to be able to invite a friend round/DC invite their friend round with space to play and walls that aren't mouldy. For DH to be happy again (work is bad enough to make him constantly miserable but he doesn't want to risk changing jobs until we're more financially secure). For life to generally be more fair and everyone to be healthy.

My late DH back.

If I can’t have that, I’ll have my DS’s additional needs and anxiety taken away.

And if I can’t have that, a decent night’s sleep and a bit of hope for the future would be nice.

ramonaquimby · 22/11/2022 21:00

To be fully staffed in my SEND classroom. We’re at breaking point with so many staff having left or planning on leaving because of poor pay 🙁

To wake up with a happy feeling that lasts and lasts because it would mean that those around me are all in a good place and so I would be too.

My child to have good mental health again. All their pain gone. All their joy in life restored. All their scars healed.

Everything else would come second to that.
