Weirdest thing you've had in a lasagne?

My DH wants me to put carrots in a lasagne. Yay or nay? What's the weirdest or nicest thing you've put in a lasagne?

And I've heard some people put coffee in their bolognase maybe marmite is like that!

That sounds repugnant! I wonder if it's one of those things that would actually be nice, if you didn't know!

OP you don’t need to add carrots if you are using a jar because carrots will already be in it.

Sack the jar and make your own sauce.

Veg that goes in mine:
1 grated carrot, 1 finely chopped onion, 1 finely chopped piece of celery.

Plus passata, tomato purée, basil and 🍷

Wetherspoons' Lasagne has FENNEL, which is aniseed, in it. Why?!!
