She'd ordered a bacon sandwich and it's just been delivered to the table. She's now moaning because her bacon sandwich has a tiny crumb of black pudding on it. And she doesn't eat pork.

I feel for the poor staff having to explain which animal bacon comes from 😬

(And no, there's no vegan bacon on the menu so not a mix up!)

I am a heady mix of amused and violently frustrated.

I had a student who wanted to be a politician. He went to university to do theology as he was of the opinion that the global political situation was heavily influenced by other people’s religious beliefs and it would be useful to understand them.

Not saying that’s the case here, but a possibility.

I want to drink in your café. I'm fed up with ordering black coffee and it coming with a little jug of milk on the side, which I'm pretty sure they don't reuse when I point out that I didn't order it and don't want it. Better than being served an actual ready-made white coffee (she swore blind she heard "black" as "white" - how?) but still kind of annoying if you don't like milk or waste.

Because it's the basis of how people are controlled and it's the basis of how people are ruled. It's the basis of most wars. It's the justification of most heinous things. It's interesting to study. I'm theist but agnostic. I also don't know where I lie in any religion.

I’ve not denied mocking her. I’ll mock anyone who says they don’t eat pork and orders and bacon sandwich and then kicks off because there’s some pork in it, only the ‘pork’ to which she referred was in fact burnt toast.
